KnightofMists -> RE: Passion (1/13/2007 10:34:39 PM)

As I sit and consider the passion that exists within my relationship with alandra and kyra, I feel overwhelmed by it's strength and intensity.  It is more than just a feeling.  It is more than just a thought.  It drives me.  It's a craving that aches to be quenched.  It's an energy within that both stills my heart in awe and causes it to race with excitement.  It feels completely out control, but yet I control it and guided into my emotions, my thoughts and my actions.  It is more than just being in love with two incredible beautiful human beings.  It is more than just being driven to own their essense.  It's to to consume their essense and be consumed by it at the same time.  To loose oneself into it and find oneself within it.  I can't imagine or fathon how a relationship could exist without passion, but I am sadden to hear that it does.  After all that.... I can only say that passion observed in a relationship is only but a sympton.  I don't see passion as something that is created between two people.... I see it as coming from within oneself and manifests outward to join the passion of ones partner that also extends their own individual passion from within.

Is their passion in a relationship?  Only if  the individuals within the relationship find passion within themselves first.

what is passion?

For me it is an intense emotion and/or energy that burns from within and compells or drives me toward that which feeds it.  One can be passionate about work, or about a cause, or about an idea...or there can be a shared passion between two individuals which can ignite a fiery energy, whether in happiness, love, lust, anger, etc.

Edited to add, after seeing your post right after I posted this...."Yeah, what you said."  [:)]

For some yes, for some no.

In our house pasion is a constant, from passion for each other to a passion for life.

Who would want to live with out it?

I have had plenty of sessions without passion in them.  They were okay, but not something I really ever think about.

The ones I have with Master are always full of passion, different kinds for different sessions.  I don't think I could go back to not having it again... and just one of the many reasons I am grateful to belong to him everyday.

Passion to me is a catalyst.
It's way more than a sexual part of our lives. It flows into anything you make your focus.
It takes my spirit into a high motivation to complete, or acquire that which I desire. Sometimes this is a physical thing sometimes it's an emotional state.
To me it's a verb. It's something that puts me on an accelerated focused path till I reach feel fruition in that endeavor.
