This is a real problem, and companies and government are putting in lots of money to try and solve it. I worked with CSIRO, as a lab slave helping to sequence little microbes in the stomach of cows called methanogens which actually make this methane which the cows give off. Think of how many cows we have... and all of those are giving off methane.. thats alot of gas for the atmosphere to have to deal with that wasn't there before.

Fresno state is working on a digestion system for animal waste similar in nature to the digestion system used for human waste at your local sewer plant. Then you can convert the methane to electical energy or just flare it off. The only other option that I can see is to shoot the cows, and anyone that stands in front of them to stop us, and become vegan.

Cow shit being a problem sounds hilarious, after all hundreds of thousands of bison used to roam the plains but the problem is we have destroyed the environment that could deal with all the shit naturally. That is problem with many of the gas issues, our life style keeps producing ever more gas while at the same time we destroy the environment that can naturally neutralise it.
