They say that the French language is the one for romance! Can that be true with a D/s or S/M scene? PS. I'm planing to learn French, to wide my languages collection..... :)

Your question is difficult to interpret. Romance doesn't depend on the language one speaks, it is demonstrated through actions. D/s and SM doesn't necessarily have to include romance at all. In fact many find it antithetical to bdsm.

i have to agree that i personally think that language doesn't have a whole lot to do with bdsm. that said, i find certain languages (including french) very romantic, and french is on my to-learn list (not necessarily for that reason - more for graduate school requirements, but hey, it's icing).

Je parle un peu francais, mais tres mal. (I speak a little French, but very badly - three years of flunking it in high school, 20 years ago.) I don't know why, but I have a lot of associations of French being feminine, or submissive. It may also be socially associated with romance, but for me, the association is one of weakness, not strength. My dominant speaks German, fluently, a language that is often described as being 'ugly sounding' - but it made my bones melt on the few occasions that he has spoken it during intimate moments - it sounded both lyrical and strong, underlining his control and power over me. scuff/shrug/blush I dunno... Actually, the perfect language for BDSM is German. There aint nothing cuddly about that one, as they demonstrated in the 30s and 40s.
