I went to bed with hair that, while not exactly heading for a 6 page spread in GQ, at least looked good.

I woke up to a mullet.

My (former) Domme had me shave it all off.  That was harsh.  Took a bit of getting used to.  She loved it...I came to love it...but, I'm NOT organized...nor am I disciplined...ergo...every 20 days or so...I looked like a total dork....every 21 days...I looked like a guy who just went to the motherfucking barber (and the barber had a fetish about skin or something).

So of course, I decided to grow it out (being that she was the "former" Domme and all).

Now, for those of you who haven't shaved off your entire hayud (and then decided to grow it all back)...allow to me explain the process:

1)  There is a small moment of bliss when you realize "I'm going to get my hair back!"

2)  You start to.  Then you look like a complete dork. (see above...20 day timeframe...which by the way, when you start to grow your hair out again {at age 48}..."dork" lasts longer than 20 days).

3)  At approx. day 52, you realize "I'm several weeks away from losing the baseball cap".

4)  At roughly 75 days you start to realize..."I have to make a speech in exactly 3 weeks...and baseball caps just don't work".

5)  Three days before the speech, things are looking pretty damn good, but enough areas are looking rough that you decide....better go in for a hair cut...except...the barber doesn't quite understand what you've been going through...and he takes you back to to day 64.

6)  Go to Nordstroms...look fervently for a "designer baseball cap" (they do have them).

7)  Now we're starting to talk in months...and in month 5, things are looking real good...sides could be longer, but all in all....LTR has his groove back.  I'm thinking....parties...babes...it's all coming back.

8)  Sides aren't working with the back, back's looking good....going for the windswept look...need more hair to sweep...sweeping ain't really happening...note to self; buy convertible.  Bought the convertible.  Note to self;  Sell convertible.

9)  I just saw my hayud in a doubleback mirror and I never realized how much hair I'd actually lost on the top, back....long hair isn't quite working with that whole concept....and I'm too much of a wimp to get the hair operation (actually scheduled it...panicked....backed out).  Come home, check mail...read letter from Nextel offering $600.00 a month to use the back of my hayud as a repeater station to improve cell signals.

10)  This morning...today it was finally long enough to actually use a hair dryer on the back sections....looked like a TOTAL stud when I left....9 minutes later when I arrived at the office....(I have a killer commute)...

I had a fucking mullet.

Going for a haircut tomorrow.

I think the "junior mullet" is prima facie evidence of child abuse.  How can people do THAT to their children?

80 million Germans can't be wrong or can they? Excuse the stereotyping/national character.

Even the German army can't function without the obligatory mullet as per link.

That's why my grandad went to war with those hair loonies. He wasn't that arsed about the Nazis, he just knew we had to keep mullets out of this country.

Germany = land of the mullets. Holland too. The Aussies are also fond of a mullet.

That's why I like the French. They're like us. Would they sport a mullet? Would they fuck.

Kinda reminds you of a crosseyed albino playing the banjo on a front porch.

Have you noticed how people move away from people who sport a mullet as though they are contagious?

When my brother came home sporting a mullet, my father looked at him as though he had just molested my sister and said, at least now we have a brush to clean the toilet.

I guess it has that effect huh?

At least you dont suffer my problem by the sound - hair that I get done on the 1st of the month, and is perfectly immutable for 29 days afterwards. On day 30 it suddenly grows two inches and is in my eyes and has split ends from here to the high street.

PS - and thats just my beard

After shaving my head to G.I. Jane length last September, I didn't touch it for a year. Everyone at work was saying I had bad emo hair...especially after I dyed it black. Never going that long between cuts again.

Geesh... Not even I have those days, and I have some crazy hair, I must confess.
Usually wash it in the evening, just to go to bed with some products in my hair so it sort of falls the way I want it in the morning.. How about that... Wanna swap head anyone?

     Consider a crew cut.

Due to the complete lack of anything but shine on the top of his head, a crew cut would be tantamount to shaving his head again (which looked significantly better than what he was sporting before, btw).
