But then the question really is..... is it? Is it possible to not think, not have intent, and to not have motive? How is it possible Well of course it is "possible". I think I do things without intent all the time. I go into rooms mindlessly not remembering what my intent was of being there in the first place more and more as I grow older[:'(] Seriously, I think most of us act with intent at times, but we do not know what our intention is consciously. I truly think that most people go through life without really knowing their full motivations, and that leads to to this question for you.... .... if other people do not know why they do things, what makes you think you know why they are behaving the way they do? You state that you are looking for their intentions constantly. You sound as though you are over analyzing people, and while there is nothing intrinsically wrong with that, you probably have no better idea of why the people around you do the things that they do than they do. Here is the thing, I worry about my intentions, and leave others to ponder their own, when I can figure out exactly what motivates me 24-7, well then I might be able to second guess what motivates others... because much of the time our intentions and motivations make zero rational sense. To try to make sense of what makes others tick usually comes down to judging their behavior based upon what makes you tick, and that is not going to be an objective view of their behavior no matter how you slice it.
