We are all perfect and beautiful. Why? Because it's an inherent trait for us to be so. However, we often act as if we are not. Why? Because if we didn't, we'd never learn or teach anything. All this is mostly subconsious...many people go on about thier lives never knowing that they're beautiful and perfect at their very core. It's HARD to look inside and see that we're not behaving as we should be, thus most people don't look.

You can only see into a glass house clearly if the light inside the house is brighter than the light outside the house (such as as night). Many people do not see themselves as being that bright (beautiful) and so they become more like mirors, reflecting the outside light as their own.

Waxing metaphysical today. Perhaps it's the rain.

I also noted how fabulous your graphics are.  I would had to have taken more time then i had to read the entire blog.

I think its because everyone has this deep rooted need to believe that they are unique and special.

Em people are unique and special, just like everyone else.   I suppose they just do not see that either?

God that's beautiful.  Yet, i do not think it is completely true.  I think it could also be projection.  I dunno - but i know i'm tired.  lol

The most wonderful peice of advice I ever read was:

"Live your life in a way so that nothing that is said about you bothers you.. even if what is said is not true"

......  So I guess what I am saying is that this whole lifestyle is throwing stones from a glass house.  They just do not see it.
Kenin...that is why we should all be sure we have enough Windex....then we can see it...lol.

That's beautiful, MasterFireMaam. Simple. Sound. Dreamy.
Haiku like in that stark, haunting way. Thank you.

Oh! To answer the OP - Nope we shouldn't judge. But, hell - this is a wild, raunchy kink soaked forum populated with bold individualists.

Is debate a hard limit? <smile>

juliaoceania -> RE: Glass Houses (1/5/2007 10:12:12 PM)

Hi, my name is juliaoceania, and I am a hypocrite. Oh I try very hard not to be one, and mostly I succeed[:D], but nevertheless, I still have hypocritical moments.

Nothing taught me this lesson about my life more poignantly than having a teenager. You see I became a giant with clay feet, oh woe is me! I found out I was not exactly without fault, actually my teenager became rather adept at pointing out all my flaws for about a year or so, thank goodness he eased up on me..... smiling broadly!

So anyways the best thing to do for all of you is to realize you are all hypocrites, every last one of you, and if you do not believe you are one... well most of you will have teenagers of your own one day and they will magically illustrate this little known fact more brilliantly and unfortunately much more personally than I ever can[:D]

There's an interesting philosophy out there; I have no idea where it's from.  It says that any time someone says something about you, whether positive or negative, it has nothing to do with you, and is at best a reflection of themselves.

As such, don't get upset over insults, but don't get happy over compliments.  None of it is actually you.  The only you is what you already know.

Yours,

benji

One of the most common things with lazy people is they point their finger at someone else to take the heat and attention of their own  lazy carcus. What is worse is when the two faced person puts another down so hard that you think of them as the worst trash around. Then that person crawls up their ass, because they are best friends.

MistressSassy66 -> RE: Glass Houses (1/5/2007 11:00:58 PM)

I built My house out of Plexiglass...the rocks bounce right off...LOL

I will be the 1st to admit life here isnt perfect by any means.
Problems exist within daily life most times I put on a happy face because I dont want the family I do talk to worry about Me.
Sometimes its nothing thats a big deal so why talk about it or dwell on it or worse yet complain(some see it that way) about it.
Friends are meant to be lent upon and often hear the true story, complaints and all.
