oh don't be so naughty I wasn't talking about sex positions

When it comes to reading books..where do you read? in a chair...in bed..on a couch..on the floor
because right now I've been reading for days and I've tried all possible positions and I've become so bored of those positions that I need some new ones..any ideas anyone? What's your most comfortable reading position?

In the bath. On the toilet.
Upside down in my chair.
Sat on the kitchen counters.
In bed with feet up against the wall.
Just a few favourites.

I read in bed, every night.   I used to be fond of filling the bathtub with really hot water and bubbles, but now my neck and shoulders get spasms, so I quit that.

Bed, on my back, side, or stomache .... if its a good book and I am spending a long time reading it, I will roll about as the notion takes me.

Standing and pacing is good for memorizing.

Usually in the big recliner with my feet up.  I used to have one of those big bowl-shaped oriental chairs and I'd sit cross-legged but, well, see the 'broken with sex' thread for the end of that one.

I like to sit on top of my washing machine.  It's like the perfect little nook, because of its positioning.

If there's a couch or chair where I can curl up on my left side, I'll take it. Otherwise, I'll lie on my stomach in bed and read.

Sitting, always.  Anything else just makes my joints hurt.

Outside in a lawn chair, bundled up if it is winter, but love the fresh air around me.

In bed, mostly. But also in an easy chair in my living room and that has a leg and foot-rest attached). For reading in bed, I bought a bed pillow (the kind you can rest your neck on) - because I tried using two scrunched up pillows for months, and it really screwed with my neck. The bed pillow helped a lot, as far as making reading in bed more comfortable.

I also always make sure I've got one of those 3-way light bulbs in my bed-side lamp on my night-stand, which I use for reading light. As I've gotten older, I need brighter light to read by, or it can bother my eyes. But I love reading - it's one of my major joys in life, I think.

Sitting at a table or standing at the kitchen counter.  I have a hard time sitting still when I read, because I get excited (unless I'm at the computer) so I end up walking around alot and never get too comfortable.

On the floor, or grass if im outside, facedown, with a pillow under my chest.

On a couch with my feet up and my back against the arm rest. (Oh, what I wouldn't do for one of those elegant old fainting couches!)

In bed either sitting up or on my side. Although I do tend to lose my page a lot when I fall asleep.
