OK, (maybe) silly question time. Its one that came out of a rather adult conversation with my 11 year old son, and one to which I had no answer - so given that on CM there is such a diverse and knowledgeable membership, I thought I'd ask here!

Now, I know there are female prostitutes for hetero men, and I know there are gay male prostitutes who cater to gay male clients, and I have heard of hetero male prostitutes who serve hetero women.

But are there lesbian prostitutes who cater to lesbian clients? Never heard of it, and for the sake of my own peace of mind and the sex education of a generation, the answer must be found!

NB - I'm talking pure prostitution of sexual services with this one, nothing bdsm related.

Any question that starts with "Does anyone...?" is always yes.

There's never been as strong a market for women to pay for sex or escorts as there are for men. But they do exist.

LadyE, I just happen to know one personally (long story) in Kansas City MO (last I heard from her).

In her personal life is defines herself as strictly lesbian and only has lesbian relationships. In her professional life (so to speak) she prefers to service women but also works with men simply because the money in servicing women only would be rather limited. Her mindset in dealing with the two genders is totally different. The women, usually elderly, she seems to care about. The men, she feels she is using and secretly despises.

Yes, they do exist. In fact, a number of prostitutes are actually bi-sexual (or heteroflexible) and specialize in couples as clients.

Something to bear in mind, though, is that lesbians (at least in my experience) aren't as likely to desire or plan an anonymous sexual encounter. A woman who is bi-curious would be more likely to simply go to a lesbian bar, to 'see what happens' or browse through a personals website to meet a girl for dinner.

Yes there are.
I too knew one in the Boston area who also published her own magazine called "Bad Attitude" for lesbian women with a decidedly S&M bent to it.
A real stunner too with fire engine red hair and not blue but violet eyes.
