I had a copy of your book years ago.  A couple weeks ago I ordered another copy from Amazon and it's backordered a month from my order date.

Anyway, why a an oil wrestling match?  Why not a caning contest - the one who can take the most strokes wins?     A bottom is sure to win that one, although it would no doubt be easier to just buy the dang book.

That would be fine if you were serving the combatant on plantains, but if you're using a pasta base - olive oil is just the ticket.

I must not of been clear.... If the book was returned to me... I suspect kyra would not of taken the time to ask you to sign the book.... Instead she might of went and got me some other present.  The gift of the signed book was not only an honor to have but also was a demonstration of kyra's thoughtfulness.... It is indeed a special present to me.

I got it. It is, indeed, an honor to have John Warren grace our boards now and then.

I don't have the first one, but I'm going to buy it before the second edition comes out and I'll try to make like I'm skilled enough in grammar to help John edit (spilt infinitives and all). If I see a grammatical error he missed, it will surprise me.

Janet tells me that this is because the current supplies of the second edition are all but gone and they are awaiting another shipment from the printers.

Hint: You can cancel the Amazon order and write Greenery www.greenerypress.com .  She tells me they have a few copies on hand for just such an event.

I love your book & often recommend it as introductory reading.
I don't recall ever noticing any editorial glitches, but then shoot billy bob snakespit look who's doin' tha readin' ?

PS I recently purchased a plastic pool at an auction of used items at our company.  Bright glowing hot pink and clean as a whistle...It was lying beneath a table covered with office lamps and non functional pc's and purple wavy screened monitors.  For 50 cents I decided it might make a good splash pool for the Laborador Retriever in the heat this coming summer.  You're welcome to it, though.... lololol
