I am not sure I understand how you are using the word responsiblity. He, alandra and I all have a responsibility to our relatioship, to maintain it and help it grow. We are all responsible for being who we are and being completely open and vulnerable to each other. We are all responsible for improving ourselves. Alandra and I have the responsibility to obey. He has the responsibility to exercise his authority in whatever manner he chooses, even if that manner is saying, "kyra, you are completely responsible for X; make it happen!"
In the way that I understand what responsibility is, the answer to your question is no. My obedience to him is not dependent on him taking responsibility for me. I am responsible for myself, our relationship and for obeying his instructions. He is responsible for himself, our relationship and exercising his authority. These are only some of the things that we are responsible for....
