How did you name or rename your slave? Where did you get ideas from?

I've never been named before, at least not a proper name. I had a Master that use to like to call me boy all the time.

Hello There, I am a sub but have been named by the first Dom I had in the BDSM life. His procedure was e named all his women after flowers. My given name was louts blossom. Another Dom who was a good friend of my prior Sir named all his women after Large cats ie- black panther kitty etc. To me it is sort of like a Catholic Confirmation ceremony in theory to be given a new name to go along with your new life and perspective. I do renaming during training to help set up the line between scene time and training time. Early in ownership I bestow a special slave name but I've learned over time as the relationship just flows more natural and into all aspects of our lives that using the "real" name is more useful and less confusing. So I primarily call Fox just that, his name, but may use his slave name on very special ocassions. The fact is that he is mine regardless of whether he is getting gas at the station, supervising others at work, or RPGing with friends and I think using just one name re-enforces that totalness.

The name I came up with for my sub isn't really unique I use his real name coupled with what he is...hence Slutjack.[:D] When he is dressed (As he is a crossdresser) I call him Slutjackie just for the heck of it. ~Lashra

I just use their name or some endearment. I have enough trouble keeping people straight without adding additional confusion to the mix

this may sound unimaginative but, depending on the situation and/or mood, I just call him pet or dog or slut or slave or similar to these, etc...but I rarely use his name, never actually.

Boys get girls names- jane, sally, cinderella, etc. Girls get pet names that are simple: girl, slut, tuli, mine, can't think of others right now. When I have more then one in a house they get numbers: One, Two, Three

Master gave me the schoolgirl name Allison because He says i look like the actress who played Willow on Buffy, Vampire Slayer, when i'm bound. i don't see it much, but He insists it's true, and who am i to argue with Him about it? But that's only when i'm roleplaying my schoolgirl part. As a Kat, i'm damia, but that wasn't given to me by my Master. It just came to me, that's what the Kat in me is called. Other than that, i'm generally just called jewel, which is a nickname given to me years. ago by my high school sweetheart.

Dear jadedmistress, Ladies and Gentlemen; I use the slave's first legal name in most cases. I will use precious one, lad, lass (for the ladies), special one, slave and or slave [insert name]. With one lad I had, his name was to unique as to become lost in the crowd of common names and had to be discrete. So, I named him He who must obey; shorter version He who obeys and or He must obey. I would just call him in public H. M. O.; prior to these health HMOs appeared on the scene -- (Hey, I hate it when they swipe my best creative ideas and make it medical!) Interesting that this topic came up today as myself and perspective slave had this conversation yesterday. Actually I had it with two different boys who wanted to know if I was going to rename them. One has already been renamed jill and it just came naturally. The other will probably remain slavehowie. But if I were to rename it would be definitely based on his personality. Lady Hugs...they just couldn't be creative on their own. They recognized a great idea when they saw it.

Been thinking about this with my gentleman. Not so much a control issue, though it gives a touch, but because he's the same name as his father. Having seen his father run across the house (we were visiting) naked, I just can't seem to call him by his birth name anymore.

I find using a girl's middle name can be effective. The idea is that I'm not trying to make her someone new, but rather take someone who's always been inside of her and bring it out in the open. Of course, if she had a middle name like 'Betsy' or 'Matilda' I would probably use something else (nothing against those names, just not my taste.)

It is partly from his personality, since he was one of the most amazing young men I have ever met. Another part of it is to forward his femenization, he needed a less masculine name that could actually be used in public (when people didnt know him) and not really raise eyebrows. I had told a former pet once that when I foudn the one that I would keep permanently, they would be my Angel. I wont go into the full personal story of why, but the name had major emotional connections for me. When I first met LoverForDomme, I didnt think he would be mine but the more we talked, the more I realized he fit the nae more than any one I had ever met. So, from our first epic phone conversation way back in May, he has been Angel. DV

I use "pet" names....baby, pet, slut, bitch. Less often, I use their first names.

When we meet others who are in her real life at the mall, etc then I use her real name unless they are in the local D/s community. When I use the D/s first name, then she knows to acknowledge me "Yes Sir" and promptly does as instructed or ordered.
