It came from a smokers home 3 months later it still reaks horribly. I thought there was a method with baking soda or cat litter where you put it in a box or a bag and close it up and it should make it smell  better.

Febreeze works, if you can stand the fake smell of it.  It's better than smoke, though.

Fabreeze might damage the sued.

Lots of fresh air should get rid of the smell

I wouldn't buy/use a used suede flogger. Ideally, floggers should be for a specific person unless you are satisfied of the good health of all concerned. Non-leather tools can be cleaned in various ways including boiling in some cases. But as leather is a lot like actual skin and quite hard to clean in many cases, it's new or nothing. I certainly wouldn't use such implements obtained from strangers. Semen, blood, cunt juice, saliva, urine, feces - who knows what's on it.

There's another point here too - if it's a good flogger why would anyone sell it? I have a favorite flogger with excellent balance and lovely falls that I wouldn't part with in exchange for Midas' horde. Well, maybe that...

BTW, if economics is a factor try making your own stuff from leather, rope, rubber, etc. It's really not that hard. You will need simple dowling and whatever other material you have chosen at minimum. Look here for some non-standard ideas:

Put it out in the sunshine for a day or two, that's how I get the smell out of my coats.

But I would reconsider actually using it.  Like Chaingang said, goodness knows what is on that thing.

You might consider using dry coffee grounds.   I know sounds wierd but the airlines use it to clean their airplanes after someone pukes all over the place.

Yes, you can use kitty litter(would be my choice) or that charcoal stuff they use for aquarium filters. Seal them together in a ziploc bag. Baking soda also works well. To use that you would take a large sealable bowl, circle the flogger inside of it around the bottom edge, place an open box or container of baking soda in, seal the bag and store in a place where it won't be disturbed or tipped over.

Chain, well if it comes down t o needing money awfull bad and no other choice I would probably sell my toys, or some of them.  Some people also get them very cheaply and mark up the shit out of them. That is what I would do if I got something cheaply and I wanted extra money. I have thought of that infact two of my cow hide floggers were 30 dollars for the two, and well I could of sold them for 6o dollars.

Chain also, unless someone's flogged directly on the pussy and gotten cum all over it, I have used my floggers on others. Hitting their back with it is not going to contaminate or break skin. My toys are not that harsh or heavy duty. you can use floggers*or rather I do and I am comfortable doing so* on many other people providing it does not get body fluids on it. if you are comfortable doing sol

I would also think that since its other wise in great condition it doesn't have anything on it. You leave blood or semen or other stuff on it and it's not like oh he won't notice. unless cleaned super duper well and in that case if it had beenc leaned well it wouldn't stink so bad.* well ok maybe it wouldn't lol*

Course I could be wrong, but since it's not breaking my skin or any one elses I feel confident using it.

Also never assume it was bought used because it came from a smokers home.  It could be home made never used and still stink horridly lol. Course in the details she says it comes from a smoking enviroment, not that it's been used or anything else so we have nothing to go on  on that level.

I've used saddle soap on my floggers...both leather and suede.
