That's assuming we are all looking. If I were here hoping to meet someone I MAY consider changing my view, but I doubt it. It has always been my policy to choose locally. It just makes sense for me to be available for men who are in my area, that I can interact with on a regular basis. As a business owner, I am unlikely to relocate to a potential's city (unless its close). As far as becoming jaded or having the bar set to high.. I will worry about that when I become an old lady with 50 cats. So far, my way has worked out fairly well. The men in my life have given me joy, and even when we end, we remain friends. No regrets. ORIGINAL: Missokyst As someone who joined fairly recently I can tell you I was swamped with email. I didn't answer very many of them at first because as a woman, I know that the ones that hit on you as soon as you hit the water are the ones that will do you, and move on to the next new thing ASAP. Kyst With all due respect, aren't you making a gross generalization here? It is a known fact that newbies are the best people to contact in any online contact/dating venue, in terms of making a potential connection. As a percentage, one will find that veterans-still-without-matches on online contact sites are more likely to have already become jaded from all the BS, and/or have their bars set too high.
