Status: offline 		Please forgive me for re-posting this, but I think I put it under the wrong 'category' the first time.  So here we go again.......
Okay, Christmas is drawing closer every day and I'm knocking myself out looking for an "everyday" collar for my male submissive.  I have looked EVERYWHERE and just cannot find anything suitable.  There are literally tons of collars out there for women, but nothing for men unless you want to spend $400 or so.  He works with the public and wears 'business casual'.  He's in sales, so he's with the public a lot so I can't go with some cheesy emblem on a leather string.  Can anyone help me?  PLEEEEZE?

Status: offline 		Originally I wanted something I could engrave, but I've pretty much given up on that.  He's not married, so I considered a ring on his left hand.  Also considered bracelets and of course necklaces.  Like me, he tends to wear 'yellow gold' as opposed to anything silver in color, so it needs to be at least two toned. (Adding the yellow gold is usually when the price shoots up.)  I am VERY open to suggestions at this point.

Status: offline 		also you can have a jewery tag engraved and it can dangle from the clasp.....and you can change the clasp to be a pad lock...i can help you do that.

Status: offline 		The cable chain is very nice but it's plated, which means the finish will wear off.  I know....picky, picky.  Probably what got me into this position to begin with.  Champagne wants and a beer budget only make it worse.

I have seen some very nice gold necklaces and rings (also two toned), but the yellow gold makes them out of my price range.  Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a good substitute for yellow gold.

Status: offline 		You could consider a chainlink type of design in a quality plate and every year on the anniversary of you gifting it to him, replace one chainlink with a yellow gold link.

Status: offline 		Mistress Scarlet, I make chainmail jewelry and can do just about anything in nearly any metal. If he likes the look of the gold we could do a niobium, anodized aluminum in yellow or gold toned, brass, anodized titanium, actual gold, or something of the sort. Actual gold is hard because I'd have to solder each ring shut and that is both expensive for the gold and time consuming in general. I can make any different sort of chains with a clasp or if you are a bit technically inclined or crafty with pliers, you can make it permanent. I will send you a photo of different chain samples. A byzantine is my favorite as it can be dainty or manly depending on the ring size, it draws attention and looks good in most any metal. A bracelet or anklet would work well too...

Status: offline 		I just bought this for my sub and had the inner tab engraved. You can even put a small picture inside of the envelope. It is beautiful and something that he can wear everyday. The turn around time was very quick, I am pleased with it. They also have some less expensive ones that are just as handsome.

ever think of a single piercing (either ear or nipple)....I wouldnt think those kinds of rings would not be all that expensive and with the ear it could be tasteful or with the nipple it could be hidden....

just a thought and certainly less expensive an option.

Status: offline 		Bootblack Blast mentions chainmail and I can tell you that stainless 2 in 2 chains are masuline enough to not draw any attention. Being stainless steel they generally don't react with skin. They can be done in many other metals as well, but for economy and skin reaction stainless works best from my experience. Elegant has a stainless chainmail collar she wears, and my boi wears a 2 in 2 stainless chain as well.

there are more elaborate chains as well if you want Birdcage pattern is beautiful yet masculine enough. But as pattern gets more complex price will rise as well, but compared to gold even the most elaborate patterns would be inexpensive.

Status: offline 		My girl is a 'professional' (meaning she has a position of mangerial responsibility in a firm that values appearance more than substance and she must deal with 'snooty' people all day who will judge her appearance in the extreme -and- they hate me because I will not/do not have to play their games)...
 
Last Christmas I was looking for something unique for her by way of (another) collar she might wear in public without anyone batting an eye (she has several like this including a string of pearls choker and a more traditional 'solid' stainless steel ring)... I stopped by (It was either Zales or Kay Jewlers - although I belive it was the later) and inquired about chokers they might have... 
As they were scrambling to find something, I chanced to look in the display case below me and there was a sterling silver multi chain (heavy in appearance, but small enough to be unisexually possible) with a small flat engravable tag on it...
 
The entire thing was (shockingly) only about 75$US (or, less - I know it was a fraction of what I was considering to spend at the time)... they could not engrave it there, so I took it further into the mall to a "Things Remembered" store and for ~18.50$US had "girl" engraved on it.
 
She really liked it and wears it all the time and it is something which can easily be worn under a shirt with some other pendant (or, a tie in your boy's case?) on top without attracting notice.
 
Just thought to mention it as the economy and uniqueness of this pleased me in the extreme and she likes it very much as well -and- since the tag is "reversable" (viewable from both sides depending on how it is worn) you might want to get his name (or, other suitable thing) on one side and something personal on the other - I did not think of this until afterward - but, as mine says "girl", there is nothing that can really be inferred from this except that I am a potential sexual chauvanist.
 
We have since met someone who has one in 10k gold from the same store.

Status: offline 		I really appreciate everyone's suggestions, but except for the alloy suggested by BootBlackBlast, these are all silver in color or way over my budget.  (I'm trying to stay around the $100 range.)  I found lots of silver in the stores I've checked and online but really want something that has at least enough gold color to make it two toned.
