can anyone tell me how to edit a post?

After you post, there is an "edit" button on the top right edge of the box of your message. This button goes away after a bit of time (don't know how long).

yes, after you write the post, you can see in the upper right hand corner an option to "edit" (among the other options..'reply' etc)...just click it, edit and repost.  This edit option is only available for a certain amount of time after the post...maybe an hour or so...I dont know.  After that time period passes, you can no longer edit.

Edited to add that you can also delete your entire post, but the thread will still show that you did orginally post something and  whom it was in response to.

Sure, but the action is only available for a few minutes after you post...it's not a 'lifetime' thing per post.

In the upper right corner, near 'reply' and  'post', you should see the word 'edit' for the posts YOU make (no one else's posts, however.)  Click that word, and your post will re-appear where you can edit them. 

But again, this function has a time limit,
