I'm fully aware this is way far off the general discussion but....(sorry...I have two cats), I have one cat that basically...if I drive up to the property she says "Yeah, right motherfucker...I know you're gonna put that shit on my neck..." and runs...only later to come up to me when I'm sleeping, snuggle and act like..."you and me are pals you know...I've actually never liked anyone more than you..."....and then I have this other cat who's pretty much like...."Yeah...is that toxic fluids...destined to kill all mankind?  I'm okay with that...pet me...I'd love to be pet right about now...say...wanna pet me?"

I have four cats, none of them care. "Ffffffffffffttttttt. Whatev!" their little cat paws held out level with their little faces, paw pads facing me.

My dog views it as yet another way to get attention. I've caught him in the closet trying to find more, hoping to bribe someone with it. "I haven't had it! I need my neck poison! Look at me! Here I am!"

And the cats, all sleeping in spots that are really not convenient, open one eye and say "That is one retarded cat."

My cats hate it. They give me the "Why do you hate us?" look and sit and glare for a few hours until they get over it.

Pardon my ignorance...

What is the 1/4rly goo neck stuff?

Flea stuff.

I just used the last one I had last week.
I use that Frontline stuff on Bubba, it kills fleas, flea eggs and ticks.
It lasts for a month.

Ahh... I get it now.

I use flea powder. My kitty bitches at me in such a way it looks like he's lecturing me. I dare to say I live with two Masters.

Two Masters *giggles*

Cats are great for that kind of thing.

Mine have been strictly indoors, and I trust nobody entering my home has fleas that could get onto my cat *smiles*

I know there are the chewables for dogs, are cats wired differently and can't take the meds orally like dogs?

With the fickleness, and frankly the claws, of cats I'd go for the chewable if possible at all.  Though I know she adores me, I can't see mine ever allowing that [:o]

My old cats used to get tense about me putting that stuff on their neck.  So I would roll a nice little ball of duct tape with the sticky side out to amuse them until they got over their antipathy towards me.

A cat at play (euphemism for getting duct tape off their face) is a happy and contented cat.

Just me, etc.
