A bunch of people (and computers ) are trying to decide what team will play USC (University of Southern California) for the championship in January.

Ohio State, it's about who will play Ohio State in the championship.

Arrrrrggghhhhhh! *laughing*..................... yes, Ohio St. Thanks Katy. [>:]

Louisville and Oklahoma are getting shafted, you know.  They're not even in the discussion.  I mean, I wouldn't vote for them, but at least they deserve to be considered alongside Michigan and Florida.  Louisville's only loss was a close game at Rutgers; it's pretty clear now that that was not an embarrassing loss.  Oklahoma has two official losses, but even the Pac-10 admitted that the loss to Oregon was unjust and there were all kinds of pollsters saying (at the time, anyway) they were going to rank Oklahoma as though they hadn't lost that game.  Remember that?  Well, why is Oklahoma way down around No. 10 in that case?

What about Wisconsin. Only loss is to Michigan.

Lordandmaster -> RE: UCLA defeats USC (12/3/2006 12:30:29 PM)

Yeah, but it was a bad loss, 27-13, and a couple of their wins (Illinois, Iowa) weren't too impressive.  I guess I agree though that they belong in the discussion.

My vote would be for Michigan, but I think I've said that a few times already.  Their only loss was by three points AT Ohio State, and their schedule was tougher than Florida's, despite what Urban Meyer wants us all to believe.

Absolutely, Lam. And what if Boise St meets the Sooners in the Fiesta Bowl and destroys them? I don't think that will happen, but if it does, they'll be left undefeated and pissed lol.

Stoops was rightly named Big 12 Coach of the Year, what with the Oregon debacle, and losing Adrian Peterson, without losing focus on their goals. Being a Longhorns' fan, I don't have much love for Oklahoma, but I sure respect them.

MSN Sports says Florida passed Michigan in both the AP and Coach's poll, so maybe it's going to be Florida.

Probably a pretty good game. I don't think OSU's defense is all that.

And as of right now, both the AP and Coaches poll have Florida at #2.

If Boise State crushes the Sooners, it would be an impressive win, but I still wouldn't have them as national champions.  Look at their schedule:

I didn't even know there WAS a team called Sacramento State.  The Broncos need to change conferences or else schedule tougher out-of-conference opponents.

Who ever plays Ohio State will win. Heisman trophy winners have been notorious for having bad next games.I hope its Florida.

LOL at Sacremento State..... no, I haven't heard of them either.

Lordandmaster -> RE: UCLA defeats USC (12/3/2006 12:40:44 PM)

Great news for Buckeyes fans.  They're going to clobber Florida, but I'm not so sure they would have beaten Michigan a second time.

I can't see the Gators beating them. Chris Leak looked scared as hell several times last night against Arkansas, and they have the worst kicking game in recent history, and they've lost some starters on defense.
