I (Kitty) too have worked in a theater before. The vast majority of theaters now adays require all employees to be in uniforms or if they are managment to dress in professional business style. During breaks, us non-management workers would oftern go into the theaters and stand in the back to watch a movie. Also we usually had one person who would go into every theater and just make sure that the movie started correctly, that it was in focus, the sound was ok, that there weren't a lot of people talking, and just in general make sure that there was nothing wrong that a customer could complain about. Anytime we saw someone acting suspisous (people with coats over their laps with lots of movement) we would be required to go up to them discretely and ask for them to remove the coat. If we were incorrect, we would apologize and tell them that we were trying to ensure the safety and happieness of everyone in the theater and that we would reimburse them for disturbing them. If we were right, we called the cops. This however has not really deterred me from loving this type of play for myself. I guess it was a power trip for me then to have to enforce these rules on people who were doing what I really enjoyed doing myself, lol. P.S.: Oh and I would suggest that if you go to a movie theater, always bring something to lay down over the seat, like a garbage bag. You will look weird, but do you have any idea how many people and kids go to movie theaters and don't want to get up and go to the bathroom? A lot more than you think, it happend at least once a month. We did our best to clean the chairs, but the theaters usually don't have all the chairs professionally cleaned often. Ours was once a year if we had the time. Think about that next time you want to see the newest release.
