Okkkkkkkkkkay - i just got back from the doctors office. Everything is just FABULOUS!! Woooooo i feel like i've had 100 lbs of stress taken off of me. I read alot and i've heard of all the millions of things that can go wrong. One woman's fetus stopped developing at 6 weeks yet her body didnt know it and she found this out at like 13 weeks. With my health insurance issues and not being able to get to the doctor - lets say i was massively stressed about all the "what ifs" and trying NOT to think about it. So i've been sooooooo totally worried. Then the weight gain... The doc (rather nurse who saw me today) allowed an ultra sound so i got to SEE MY BABY. Awwwww and he's a wiggler. I measured out to be 12 wks and 5 days and the baby measures good all the way around! Yay babies! Plus - i asked about my weight and i've actually only gained 7 lbs and what is normal is about 2-3 lbs per month. Averages out to be 9 lbs for 3 months and i'm like 2 lbs under par. So its allllllllllllllllllll gooooooooooooooood. God i feel good. i feel SO RELIEVED. I've got a little picture of the baby too. (yay pictures) And its a GREAT pic. You can see his little head and body and LEGS and ARMS and did i say he's a wiggler?? And i dunno if he's a boy yet - but i'm betting on it and i WANT him to be a boy so he will be a boy. Oooo did i say i could see eye sockets? HE looks SO CUTE. i'm soooooooooo happy. Yay Babies!

I'm really happy for you RG! Its so totally, unbelievably miraculous to be able to grow another person inside you - its too difficult to express it properly though. And, I'm jealous too; I would love to feel that for myself, even with the worry and occasional discomforts of pregnancy, and the pain and exertion of delivery. The bond between mother and child is the strongest in the world, and so special. Hope all goes well! E

Awww how wonderful! This must be your first yes? children are the greatest blessing but with all blessings there is always a burden lol and it is worth every second.... although RT don't get your hopes up for a boy, so long as the baby is health be happy besides if your mother cursed you like mine did to me, "you'll have a kid just like yourself" [sm=biggrin.gif]That curse actually comes true!!

i've already got a daughter - so its my second. i know what you mean Lady Ellen! Even though we humans are able to populate the planet so well.. the actual conception and birth is really a miracle.... though i do liken it to the movie Alien.. "creature is born and grown in your body.. taking it over.. and then comes BURSTING out" heh

I know what you mean about the movie Alien. My daughter was 10 lbs when she was born, and I literally felt like I was just going to split down the middle one day and she'd come hopping right out!

My kids were all born before ultrasounds were being done, even for an emergency, but can imagine the absolute thrill of finding all is going well. i did have an x-ray with my middle (in 1979), but only the last week or so. i'd be green with envy if i wasn't so happy for you. This is such a special time, and i wish only the best for ya'll. (my "baby" turns 22 this month, even though i've tried to tell him i'm not old enough to have a 22 yr old baby..lol).
