Okay, because apparently some people are too damn stuck up to answer a simple email asking an innocent question, I have to ask this here.

When you women wear leather bottems, how is it possible? by which I mean that my mistress has told me that you cannot wash leather therefore wearing leather panties, thongs in particular would only be a one time thing at best unless you wear another set of undewear underneath as a liner.

However I see plenty of times women wearing nice tight leather G strings and the such, with obviously no liner...is there a washable leather for these things or something? What am I missing?

Never done it, but I suppose you could wear a pantiliner. They make them for thongs nowadays as well.

Edited to add: *laugh* Not you, personally, but a woman who was wearing leather panties.

with the things I saw, there where definitly no liners of any type...but I doubt many women, domme or sub would want some fishy leathers that kept that smell in right?

Not for me thanks.. and leather makes you SWEAT too. Yuck. Maybe you can use saddlesoap on 'em or something..

Rumtiger -> RE: Leather Panties (11/29/2006 10:23:32 PM)

Oh hun...I'm at the brink of unsweetness and your giving me alot of chew material.

I need to work this out of my system, off to listen to megadeth and eat bunnyrabbits out of the arms of children.

Lorelei115 -> RE: Leather Panties (11/29/2006 10:25:29 PM)

...? Was it something I said?

Rumtiger -> RE: Leather Panties (11/29/2006 10:30:30 PM)

not your fault, jsut other things have made me lose my...nice sweet self for tonight, hence the lack of "ma'ams" or that soft tone I'm so well known for.

Anyway...back on track, leather panties, they stink...help.

Why hello Mr. Cottontail...::munch::

Perhaps the panties weren't acutally leather but a very good imitation? Oh, and leather can be washed, but it has to be done by hand and very very carefully (I wash my own leather coats and stuff. So far, so good, and it's been about 3 years for the coat. It's still going strong).

They absolutely do need to be washed or thrown out.  And leather can get wet -- it simply shortens the lifespan of it.  Many leather panties being sold by higher end boutiques have a satin or fabric liner.  I wash mine (deerskin or split hides), and then recondition the leather itself with a very light leather conditioning lotion.

When I wear leather panties, I always wear regular black g strings panties or latex thongs underneath. I have several pair of leather thongs, and all can be worn over my plain g-strings or thongs.  I still wash them, and there is a special soap for leather that I use. I wash them by hand and towel dried right after. I usually shine them with Armour All (spelling?) after drying them completely.

Oh heck. The truth be known, I wear leather and then I wash it right in the washer with my other clothes. Maybe it doesnt hold up as long but my pants are three years old now. And I even add fabric softener to the rinse. No need to worry so much about it all. To me they look just fine still.

Leather can be washed. Just don't leave it out to dry... help it along, but DON'T use a hair drier. I did once... the leather cracked [:o]. I find baby shampoo works well - it doesn't strip the oils out as much as some cleaners. And condition it right after.

MisPandora -> RE: Leather Panties (12/1/2006 4:19:05 AM)

I think folks are paranoid with getting leather wet.  It's not like animals stand out in the rain from time to time, yanno?  (And yes, I realize that tanned and cured leather is far different than on the hoof, I'm just saying that we get a little neurotic about this shit!)

Mikal -> RE: Leather Panties (12/1/2006 10:54:19 PM)

Considering the prices of some leather... yep. I'm paranoid. And proud of it! [:)]
