I have a friend near here. He's always available to golf on the weekends. I wanted to go golfing. He said "...can't...me and the wife are going out to a friends weekend getaway cabin that got washed away over the last week due to all the flooding and we're spending the day helping them get all their stuff out of what's left of the place". This of course left me with no golfing partner for the day. I tried to explain to my friend that a friend is someone that "has" a weekend getaway cabin, this person had a cabin. He was able to go with this concept, but his wife didn't fully follow the sequence of logic. Shame actually. I shot 3 under par.

Isn't it odd that "under par" means a good thing in this context? Unfortunately, sub par is the way of life for many. Stop looking at me.

Where were you going to golf? Our course (Snoqualmie Falls) is still closed from the flooding and they are having to replace the floors in the clubhouse and grill.[:o]
