Richard Harris and Ian McKlellen have been knighted.  Are they knights?  No, Billy Crystal is not British.  don't know about Billy Barty.

hmmmm....

HatesParisHilton -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (9/30/2009 8:42:23 AM)

Barty's a midget and Jewish .  Harris ain't Jewish so that ain't it...

They've all been in films with something magical in the plot?

PHP: Your turn (more specifically, they all played wizards. Details of who played whom in what upon request.)

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (9/30/2009 6:55:52 PM)

Lance, who is PHP?

Musicmystery -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (9/30/2009 7:01:27 PM)

Gee fluffy, I thought this was your area!

"PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor, is a widely used, general-purpose scripting language that was originally designed for web development, to produce dynamic web pages. It can be embedded into HTML and generally runs on a web server, which needs to be configured to process PHP code and create web page content from it. It can be deployed on most web servers and on almost every operating system and platform."

fluff: The answer to your question: I meant HPH.  must be triple dyslexia or something. <Lance wanders away to find his meds, TAKE THEM (this time for sure) and go to sleep.>

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (9/30/2009 8:12:10 PM)

MM i didn't do WEB.  Just big old mainframes.

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (9/30/2009 8:14:02 PM)

Lance come on over to "Last One to Post, WINS" sometime.  It's fun and you don't have to take meds to post there.

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/1/2009 7:13:48 AM)

HPH = Hiltie whose turn to post it is.

fluff: thanks for the invite to "Last One to Post, WINS"  As I understand it, posters there are supposed to be off-med. LOL!

was the illustrator for the comic book adaptation of Outland
drew the Nick Fury comic books

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/1/2009 8:02:53 PM)

fluffy... that sure looks like a googled answer to me..... just sayin'

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/1/2009 8:06:33 PM)

RESEARCH...not Google!  There's a difference.   Anyway DC said we could do research.

HatesParisHilton -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/1/2009 9:02:51 PM)

woo hooo! Fwuffy brought home da Bacon with my GAWD and beloved hero Jim S!

you're turn El Fwuffo!

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/1/2009 9:11:24 PM)

fluffypet: please explain the difference.  I use google alot and would seriously like to know of other avenues to complete my research. LOL!

HatesParisHilton -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/1/2009 9:47:32 PM)

fluffy may be busy with her schedule right now, but I am "pre-net", and often if you love sci fi, fantasy and horror as Fwuff and I do, "paper tech" still has a LOT of cross references and soetimes answers to games like this were done back in the 60's to 70's (for example, Fampous Monsters of Filmland magazine, a mag I used to own over 100 issues of).  Starlog as well, and Dr Who Weekly.  mags like thiese would often have articles or games that would use groups and categories and FM (Famous Monsters) OFTEN had  the "what do these 5 Frightfests have in Common?" games.

So sometimes, for a game like this, if I can dig up a mag like FM, I would not consider it cheating per se, as I would if someone merely punched - for example - my REAL name into wiki versus owning and knowing about any of my published credits.

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/1/2009 10:08:54 PM)

'Tis hard to be more "pre-net" than I, Lance said with a proud, but wistful tone in his voice.  I wrote my first program in 1967, yep, more than 40 years ago.  Just sayin'

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/1/2009 10:11:17 PM)

Just sayin' that I have a hot quartet burning a hole in my pocket.....can't post it until I can snatch the baton from somebody.....
C'mon fluffy !

HatesParisHilton -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (10/1/2009 10:45:00 PM)

we can do a gentelman's side wager and play with those four while waiting for fluffy to come back and continue the actual game, if you like.   [:)]
