American buffalo
pronghorn antelope
horned toad
killer whale

Aylee -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (6/22/2009 7:16:27 AM)

Endangered species?

igor2003 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (6/22/2009 7:17:33 AM)

no...sorry

stella41b -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (6/22/2009 9:11:38 AM)

They are the only surviving species in their classification in the animal kingdom, i.e. none of them have other species directly relating to them?

igor2003 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (6/22/2009 9:13:18 AM)

no, that isn't it either.

Edited to say: Though it is true of at least one and possibly two of the animals listed it isn't common among all 4.

stella41b -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (6/22/2009 9:22:52 AM)

all the above animals are native to the United States?

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (6/22/2009 9:25:22 AM)

Each animal is misnamed. The American buffalo is actually a bison. The pronghorn is not an antelope. The horned toad is really a lizard. And the killer whale is a dolphin. Is that it?

igor2003 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (6/22/2009 9:25:43 AM)

While that is true (assuming the killer whale can be considered native to North America) it isn't the link I am looking for.

igor2003 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (6/22/2009 9:27:00 AM)
