a Dom changes his age on his profile from an older age to a significantly younger age? I'm not talking one or two years, I'm talking about 7 or so years younger than when you met them.

It means he just gave himself a mental face lift. Sounds like he wasn't liking the results that he got with one age and has decided to change his bait to see what new fishies he can catch.

Either they are lying or they made a typo and were correcting it.

I have seen this happen before. I can't speak for this guy, but in the cases I know of it was 1) to appeal to younger Women so that could they could snag a young chickadee, or 2) they think Women of all ages prefer younger men and want to make themselvles as "marketable" as possible. I have also come across males who have one age in their profile, but will admit to another age when I talk to them on the phone. They explained that the reason they did this was some women aren't interested in men over a certain age. Lady Topaz

Well personally I am guilty of making typos sometimes and not noticing until later sometimes much later. If he is lying about his age that is really sad. The young ladies will notice eventually that he is older than he admits but basically if his ego is such that he needs to be younger so be it.

Does he look more like the first age he displayed or the second? As some have said it could have been a typo, how long a period was between the first age and when he changed it to the second? You know how often things are sold as $19.99? Well maybe thats what he is doing? [:D] But ultimately if you are going to start out a friendship/relationship lying about your age its not a good start. Have you asked him?

Recently, I discovered that my age was listed as 56 in the big list that comes up on the home page, when I'm really 48, and although I hadn't changed it in my profile listing myself, it had been changed. To my knowledge, no one has access to my account. Of course, I was horrified, and attempted to change it back, but it took a couple of attempts to make the correct age "stick". Not sure what that was all about, but maybe something like that happened to him?

Take your pick from: lying, deluded, schizophrenic, a genuine mistake, wishful thinking, has invented time travel and is now genuinely 7 years younger than when you met him, has had a temporary mental block and forgotten how old he is, is trying to appeal to a wide audience, has a strange sense of humour, you are reading the wrong profile, he thinks you'll only like him if he tells you he's younger than he really is. Give the bloke the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure it's all above board and he can take you for a ride in his time travel machine.

Middle age crisis? I'm 55, I'll be 56 in Dec. A lot of women like older men I've found. We can last longer, bring flowers and are established, own property and are usually comfortable financially and have confidence in our ability to get things done. That's not to say that some women don't like younger men and that's ok too. But, you shouldn't lie about your age.

popeye..you are correct--alot of women do perfer older gentlemen...Me, for example...I don't mean to judge someone based on age but I WILL NOT date a man who is under 40---I find, in my experiences, that older men are more romantic, thoughtful...I love the fact that you can hold an intelligent conversation with them...I am not saying that all younger men are ignorant or anything like that...each case is different of course but I find older men very sexy..
