The 'excessive fat things' - look for healthier versions.  Some fat is GOOD for you. Just choose the right ones. "I can't Believe It's Not Butter" is my FAV when it comes to butter type spreads, it tastes delicious and they have more varieties and its healthier for you.

That 'I can't believe it's not butter' is not good for you.  It's made out of chemicals and it is disgusting.  I really have to have REAL butter.

Hmmmmmmm... I wonder if the single common denominator is

The burden of keeping the economies and/or feeding all of the above and the rest of the world too.

Oh goodness, no, Beverly, I'm not saying it is irrelevant.  I'm saying if the peeps are going to start giving the OP advice (and possibly expecting some kind of acknowledgment), they should know that post was from three years ago.

In my little pocket of California, we've had some heavy rain, although it has let up for a few hours now.  Several thousand people in my town lost power, but not me so far.  I saw on the news that the Bay Area had about a million people without power last night, and last time I checked, about half that were still out.  There are some mandatory evacs in southern california for mudslides.  Guess it's not too bad living in the armpit of Calif.
