Not get married to that insane chic I married, found out about BDSM a LOOOOOOT sooner, I would have met this chic in (currently) NY about the same time I (wouldn't have) married that (other, aforementioned), ate less spinach and more ice cream, realized at 20 (instead of 35) that no one knows any more than you do (they just hide it better), realized that all those chics that I was scared shitless of at 16 all wanted to fuck just as much as I did, and....I'd have told my Dad to go fuck himself 20 years earlier than I did.

(But that's just me).

PrimitiveLogic -> RE: LIFE: If you could do it all over again... (11/15/2006 4:03:30 PM)

I would have changed  the "whys..into why the hell not"  far sooner. We become who we become when it happens...no way to rush it.
Oh ! and I would have kissed Cece really passionately in the first grade when I had the chance.

onlythewindknows -> RE: LIFE: If you could do it all over again... (11/15/2006 4:07:46 PM)

i would change nothing, because i would not be right here, right now, with what i know now, if it weren't for everything before.

MistressTexas -> RE: LIFE: If you could do it all over again... (11/15/2006 5:19:07 PM)

Just to be really repetitive, I would'nt change anything. I went hrough some hard stuff.. some miserable stuff.. some stuff I would never want to go through again.. But now I'm facing more miserable shit, and I think " fuck it, I've faced worse and kicked ass." And on the other hand I've had some incredibly wonderful stuff happen too. And I honestly dont know that I could appreciate it as much if I hadn't seen the worse side of things.

Funny enough, I was walking down the street  yesterday... coffee in hand, going over stuff in my head.. bills, rent, medical etc etc.. and realized they were all paid up.. and I still had money left over... then it struck me.. I have my own place (after 2.5 years of living with idiots), a steady well paying job, a plan for where my life is gonna go and a solid support network. Moments after this came another revalation. The thought went through my head word for word as follows: "Oh my god.. I've finally evolved into a mature human being... Oh fuck that means the world is gonna end, doesn't it?

I'd have been a lot more confident, and a bigger slut in secondary school. With boys too. I'd have stayed with the magazine, and done uni when I retired. I'd have put all my money into nintendo when I thought I should have, and I'd have found Christine earlier.

I grew up under an extremely smart dude and I wish I would have had the forethought to have listened to him a lot more. I fucked off and played a lot in my formative years.

If I could go back and change one thing, I would have finished my education much earlier instead of having messed around, losing my cash cow, and then joining the Marines.

Fast reply-  Sitting here thinking about what I would change more than a few things came to mind. Oh yes I wish those  things could be redone. Then I realized if I were able to go back and change even the smallest detail I'd might not have my daughter today. So Nope no matter how bad some things were I'd not change a single thing if it meant I never have her.

Rumtiger -> RE: LIFE: If you could do it all over again... (11/16/2006 8:24:52 AM)

I would go back to age 14 and start high school all over again, not screw up so much and beat some people's asses and face the consequenses rather then have to take shit like how it was drilled into my head. Also, attempt to start a pankration club.

Also, lose weight from back then and get into the service as soon as I was 17.

If one could do a do over with their life, for me it would be back when i was 17, dont get me wrong i love my children and grandchildren, but i would like to know how my life would have turn out if i had follow the path i first set for myself.

Haven't you seen that movie, "The Butterfly Effect"?? Horrible things can happen if you change the past!!!

Just kidding. [;)] If I could change one thing about my life, I think it would have been High School. I would have actually studied and made good grades rather than just scraping by on my test scores. Then I would have planned for going to college better and pursued my dream of being a Marine Biologist.

Also, I would have realized a lot sooner that I can be happy on my own and I don't NEED a relationship to make me feel complete.

RazorJAK -> RE: LIFE: If you could do it all over again... (11/16/2006 11:10:46 AM)

 - SIX THINGS I'D TELL MY 16 YEAR OLD SELF -

1.) Start actually playing the game. Yes, you're smarter than the majority of students (and most of the teachers as well). But brains alone do not get you anywhere in this world. In fact, in your future, a man with the intelligence level of a broken garden gnome will be sitting in the oval office. What you know means nothing. That slip of paper does.

2.) Steer clear of Meda. Yes, I know you've had a crush on her since junior high. You will have a fling with her soon after you get out of the army. Let it be that, just a fling. If you move in with her, she will be the first of two women who will destroy your credit and sink you into debt.

3.) Speaking of the military, when they offer you a honorable discharge or a desk job, take the desk job.  It sucks to be taken out of the field you went in the military for due to getting your knee destroyed.  But a desk job isn't anything to be depressed about.  You'll be collecting a pension at the age of 37 if you stay in.

4.) A. has had a crush on you since middle school but is too tied up with her being in the "In Crowd". If you talk to her alone, you'll be fucking her on your first date. Do it now.  Because on graduation night you'll have to choose between her and two other girls. You'll only get to fuck two of them that night. She's a good lay. But the other two are better. Do it now and get it over with.

5.) Keep quiet about sleeping with two of your friends' prom dates after the party. The girls didn't tell them even though they said they did. So no one needs to know.

6.) Fuck what your mom says.  Acting is worthwhile.  It doesn't matter that you won't make a lot of money doing it. You'll likely not ever be a star. But if you work harder at acting - you'll do better than bit parts in Troma movies.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA - I had that realization recently as well.  Sitting down at the desk after paying the mortgage and going to grab the utilities bills ... only to remember I paid them last week.

"Holy Crap ... When did I grow up?"

Arpig -> RE: LIFE: If you could do it all over again... (11/16/2006 11:49:57 AM)

I'd have offed my ex when I was first tempted to.

Marc2b -> RE: LIFE: If you could do it all over again... (11/16/2006 5:20:21 PM)

I would do it in an instant.  That seems to be a problem with life, doesn't it?  by the time we have finished learning from our mistakes - we're old and we die.  This is one reason why I believe in an afterlife.  What's the point of learning all we learn if we don't get a chance to apply what we've learned?  As for myself, I have to many screw-ups and missed opportunities to list here but at the top of my list would be:  invest in that new computer software company called Microsoft.

SissySean -> RE: LIFE: If you could do it all over again... (11/16/2006 6:35:03 PM)

I would have taken that job as sound tech for Tesla and went on their world tour instead of turning it down to get married.
kicks self in head! Then puts on Tesla CD

Love...pfffft!!!
