Vote Republican.
Lose job.
Realize that life sucks without a job.
Vote Democratic.
Get job back.
Get complacent.
Vote Republican.

LOL, why not just continue in the other thread.

oh, well.

For what it's worth though, I've never been jobless more than a month, and my average income has increased with age not the administration. For what it's worth.

Plan 2

Only vote for who you think will represent you (that means not voting)

Be worth your shit and don't need a piece of paper to get a job.

Do whatever you want until or unless you get busted.

Keep doing it until death.

That's my plan.

The US unemployment rate is 4.4%.  The US economy has made a remarkable recovery from the bursting of the dotcom bubble, two major corporate scandals, and the devastion of 9/11.

The unemployment rate in the province I live in is 3.9%.  If you can't find a job here, you are either a blithering moron or you aren't looking very hard.  Employers have had to raise wages to prevent competitors from "stealing" their employees.  I see the sign at Denny's (Dishwashers $8/hr) every day on my way to work.  I doubt anyone is making minimum wage here, except for maybe the highschool kids working at McDonalds.

You're right.  The economy is MUCH better now than it was six years ago.  Why, just last week Wally O'Dell bought himself a second private jet.

I'm still waiting to see all those "high-paying manufacturing jobs" that we were promised if Nafta was passed.

Lordandmaster -> RE: The American cycle (11/13/2006 3:29:57 PM)

Yeah, those went out the window in 2001.

sub4hire -> RE: The American cycle (11/13/2006 6:54:24 PM)

Does that mean I'm not american if I don't fit the cycle?

I can't make ONE innocent little provocative remark.

You people are on me like flies on shit.

When the dot com boom was going on, I was making six figures being all technical and smart and stuff.

Then the dot bomb happened and I went to making 1/4 that.

Then I got pulled into the union and now I will make six figures again, all the while doing a job that you could train a monkey (not the President, though, too highly skilled for him) to do.

I am not sure what it means.  The dot bomb really happened under Monkeyboy.  But to be fair, I got pulled into the union under Monkeyboy, so I guess all the trades worked in my favor.

Just me, etc.

You know, the comment that us people are on you like flies on shit, juxtaposed against the two elephants humping, is really an existential comment on extant reality.

Just me, etc.
