I stumbled onto this website and while I don't see everything on it as gospel truth, it bothers me greatly that this organization has any credibility.

Penn and Teller did a "Bullshit" show about this one. I found it very funny that the vice president of PETA uses insulin (developed by animal testing!!) because she is diabetic. She says she does it because "she needs her life to fight for the animals". What a hypocrite.

So many people are unaware and support this organization. I urge them to take a closer look.

i was trying to check the sources of that website.  Most of the links are dead but a few are good.  Nothing i would consider credible (not like the herald or ny times) - but it looks like this is true.

which is horrid.

LOL Erin - didnt we have a convo earlier about "all trust worthy people" that arent really trustworthy?  Just another notch on the "all about money" and "untrustable" yet supposedly credible people.

lol

riot,
I probably should not have used that link to make my point here. PETA's "ethics" and credibility have been in question for many years and that has been no big secret. I wouldn't give them one red cent or one moment of my support.

Lots of organizations do good and bad.  I haven't heard credible evidence as to any practices that have been mentioned, and I have pretty much heard them all the five years I have been a member of PETA.  I always research into anything that I support, be it with money, or with my time and name.  I will always look at anything that comes up and evaluate my viewpoint again and again.  One day, maybe something will come along that changes my support of them, but as of yet, nothing has.

I have seen so many horrid things done to animals by many companies.  I will continue to back up PETA as long as I feel they are making a good difference in many, many areas.  I will not however, put a blind eye to anything I feel is against my beliefs otherwise.
