Since we have a Beatles tune or two, what is the song 'Lady Madonna" about?

Bonus Blues trivia:
Robert Johnson is attributed with making a deal with the Devil to become a great blues guitarist ... but his song "Crossroad Blues" is really about hitching a ride. Who was the ACTUAL Blues musician who sang about making a deal with the devil at the crossroads just a few years earlier?

adommeforyou, good guess, but no.

The song is about a hooker. Lady Madonna is a hooker (and mother who is trying to make ends meet). Her johns in the song are referenced by the days of the week that they normally arrive on.

mistoferin - lol, you get bonus points for knowing who Charley Patton is ;) But no, the person who first sang about it was Tommy Johnson. He is later fictionalised in the film O Brother Where Art Thou, but a true life blues musician he was. Another 'known' song of his is Canned Heat Blues.

Okay, here is one that I don't know the answer for, but it has been plaguing me. In the Doors song "LA Woman" what the heck is Jim singing in the first line?????

As for the "Crossroads", I knew you were referring to one of those Delta Blues musicians....and actually, Tommy Johnson would have been my next guess at it.

OK....In the song "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath there is a line that is commonly mistaken. It is thought to be "Can you help me? Thought you were my friend....oh yeah".

Can you tell me what the actual words were?

As best as I can figure, it is "can you help me occupy my brain ... oh yeah"

There is a line in the Theme song to TV series "good times" that no one can seem to get .... and/or there are several theories as to what it is.

It's an anagram for Jim Morrison.

The 'chow line' theiry is the most common, I think. I have heard others.

Name any of the artists who first recorded the following tunes:
