Status: offline 		I have been studiously following threads and links these last few newbie days and I ran into an article about "frigging" which was, reportedly, about essentially creating a small butt plug out of fresh ginger root that is peeled, sculpted, and kept in cold water until insertion.  Reportedly, the effect is, well, it sounded a bit like a Tiger Balm or Ben Gay suppository that warmed quite noticeably and radiated outward for a considerable amount of time.  Has anyone had experience with this?

Frigging, as I know it, is basically using your fingers to fondle someones gentials, or another word for fucking.

Figging, however, is the use of roots as anal/sensation toys, usually inserted anally.

Status: offline 		Oh, I dunno - figging with ginger root is remarkably effective in vaginal use, as well.

It's not exactly painful, but it does produce a very strong sensation, which in all cases I've witnessed, leads to heightened sexual drive.  In short, it makes 'em horny, used vaginally or anally. 

Can't say that I've ever heard of it being used in the urethera, and kind of doubt that that would be safe.

Status: offline 		Thank the Lord you all have a sense of humor and patience.  I swear I'm not this much of an idiot more than 100% of the time ... or so.  Duh.  Imagine my shock if the gas attendant had said "Did you just cuss at me in front of your kid or ask for a ginger butt plug?"  OMG!  Such a harmless looking 'r' by itself.

He's not "into" BDSM.  He's actually the only truly ASEXUAL person I've ever met.  Though the fact he hangs out with us does lend one to believe he's a bit of a masochist. 

And I doubt even you could "humiliate" him.  He was the "bridesmaid" at a friend's wedding.  Complete with horrid seafoam green bridesmaid dress.

Status: offline 		Gingeroot is indeed a very impressive experience...

Gingeroot grows in what is referred to as a "hand". When you see them in their original state it is easy to see why. Many stores break the roots into pieces before presenting them, so shop around if all you are finding is what appears to be a bulb. When you find a hand, or part of a hand, select one with a thick "finger" attatched to a good sized bulb. The thickness of the finger allows a more dramatic "neck" to hold it in place, as does the bulb at the end.

The skin should be shaved off, with as little of the root being lifted as possible. Because the inside of the root is very fiberous, the prepared "plug" can be scraped to allow some juice to come to the surface for ease of insertion and to intensify the sensations. (As a side note, the plug can be pulled for the purpose of scraping it again, and reinserting it to renew the sensations. This can occur multiple times using the same root.

The use of any kind of lube will negate the sensations to some degree.

Each plant can be a little different, so while there are some normal sensations, there are some roots that are infinately more intense than others. i have not been able to spot the difference from the outside...

Moving the root causes the sensations more than leaving it in place. Twisting, turning, jiggling, and f*cking with the root creates a more intense experience.

In addition to insertion, direct contact with the clit can be very intense. Either hold a fresh cut slice against the clit, or pack some mashed (scrappings) root into the area and secure with tape over the vulva slit. Combine with a vibrator for maximum effect.

i have heard of gingeroot being cut into a thin julienne slice and inserted into the uretha on a man without permanent injury.

Gingeroot causes blood to rush to the genital area causing an intense desire for orgasims, and usually increases the number of orgasims. Some people report this occuring after only a few minutes, but keeping the contact for up to 20 minutes usually provides the best results.

i can tell you from personal experience the orgasims are off the hook, but the price is nothing short of hell... talk about a dychotemy!
