jesskitty -> weather icons? (11/4/2006 11:51:27 AM)

hi there. i was wondering if anyone has a suggested weather icon program to use. i used to use the weather channel desktop but after awhile it kept freezing and finally would not show anything for my city but would show weather temps etc. for every other city. so of course i delted it since it's not working, but i miss knowing how the weather is before leaving the door. anyone have any other programs like this for the computer that i could use?

If you use firefox, there's a good plugin you can use.

I use weatherbug.   Shows my city, doppler radar.   I also have loaded my city and several others of interest to me on Yahoo.   Both seem to be pretty close with what I get off normal tv

There's one you can select with the new version of the Google Toolbar.

Yes... I like weatherbug also. It's better than the radio or tv for me.

jesskitty,

Under the tools menu select extensions (this is what Firefox also calls plugins).

This will reveal a window with your present extensions listed and options for updating, removing and configuring them.

There is also a link there to get more extensions from fire fox. I think it's pretty self explanatory but feel free to ask here (or by message) for further help.

I use 1-click weather. It runs in the status bar at the bottom of the window and gives me the basics.

Z.
