If anyone ever gets a message from a Mod that seems off or confusing, you should definitely just send it up to Mod One and ask for clarification.

Reviving old threads is discouraged on the forums, but it's not a mortal sin and I personally see no problem with it on occasion.

Over time not only are there new people but some of the older posters have their views change.

I totally admit that views I had on certain subjects a few months ago have changed and evolved. If the a similar thread came up i would answer differently now then i did then. I assume that holds true for others as well. As we keep learning and evolving with in our experiences.

Well, i'd like to think i try to keep my suffering to a minimum.....not good for the blood pressure, ya know?

And keep away from those eye balls!  They wreak havoc with your sugar levels

Sof if one is not to ask somthing that have been discussed before in a new tread and not revive an old one, how is somone new on the forum going to get to discuss things they might want to discuss but that is a popular topic?

nephandi,

Are you asking this in response to LuckyAlbatross?  Because i really don't know enough about what the mods expect to be able to answer your question.  Sorry

Some people complain about reading the same threads over  again. Some people are new on here and dont know that there are threads posted from years ago that say the same thing they are asking. Why should they be repriminded because they ask a question . A lot of us dont have time to dig back in the archives. If we have a question that we seeek an answer to at the moment then let us ask it. We don't need self imposed CM police jumping on us. Ok a question.  Is there a topic that has not been discussed on here?

I haven't noticed much complaining of that sort but I haven't been here long myself......(though there's a groan or two about *fat threads* ....lol)

If I wanted to know something I'd probably ask it right here, too, depending on what it was, because it's interactive and you can ask questions of the responders etc....and have a dialogue of sorts.

It can be informative reading through past threads but it can also be frustrating if you read something and want to ask about it and it's a deader than dead, old thread.

There are also things that I look up or read about on my own too. If I don't want to wade through a lot of random opinions I'd go it alone.

If a thread is boring or repetative I skip on past.

i was reprimaned b Mod 11 becouse i used the serch function and relived and old read for my question and was tol to ask a new question istead of bringing back up old and forgotten treads so oviously you are suposed to make new treads instead of reopening old ones.

Interesting. I did not know that............

I might be reading incorrectly, but I think what happened is she pulled one up and answered it and started that one in the current date area.  I have found a lot of info on past threads, but I think the intent is if it is that old, to reference the old thread with what you say, but not actually start that one running again.  If it is that old of a thread, there are members that answered that are not here anymore, etc. and others are replying to remarks made well in the past to someone that is probably not reading the thread,

Is Dom tipping like cow tipping?   Sure you can use thread for finger bondage. Mmmmm papercut play  let's find out. You have to leave the chewing gum on the bed post overnight.

OMG Dnomyar.  That is what we did when i was a kid....and chewed it the next day....lol.  Sounds rather gross now but hey, back in the day, gum was not easy to come by

And cow tippin'?  Never heard of that until i moved out to the country for a while.  Could have never imagined that was possible.  Ah....what some have to do for entertainment

Actually, i just read a thread on paper cuts...don't remember if they mentioned the risks or not, but a lot of people called it a hard limit.

It all boils down to tolerance... and for a group such as us you would think we would have a little more of it!!!
