I *SO* totally echo the advice earlier to find an OB who you are totally, 110% completely comfortable with.

The whole thing can be stressful enough, that knowing that the OB is on your side can really help.

Just a theory, maybe it's because you already have someone else in control of your body in a kind of non-consentual way? The alien takes over and for 9 months that's just the way it is. Baby's hungry well you better eat, baby gets the hiccups you better not want to sleep, etc.

I was recently pregnant with twins and although I wanted to play my husband would not touch me with a ten foot pole. He wouldn't even do knife play, which is more sensation play, and should have had no effect, but he would not risk anything.

That being said, I was sick for the first 5 months of my pregnancy and playing was the last thing on my mind. Then that started to subside about month 4, and I had the most intense, amazing fantasies, more so than I ever realised possible and it was all Icould do not to jump my husband and 'demand' he tied me up and beat me silly, but alas no, nothing like that happened.

Now all this was probably for the best as at week 29 I ran into trouble and my babes were born at week 30 - 10 weeks early. They are fine, but spent 6 weeks in hospital and if we had done anything I'm sure we'd both have blamed ourselves, even if we never actually caused the harm.

Thats my two pence worth.
