RiotGirl -> Pregnancy and D/s (10/29/2006 1:03:36 AM)

Well i'm informed about alot and theres alot of research that can be done, but i dont think i've ever run across this topic?  Maybe its out there and in all my lookings around, i've just selectively stepped over it?

Anyone know of any good sites to go too?  Cos we're wondering what excatly changes?

We really unsure about the spankings.....?  Like i'd assume lower intensity?  I'd assume some obvious areas are off limits?  What about like good old fashion butt paddling?  Thighs?  I'd suppose low key bondage would be okay?  I'm just really wondering here?

And what i keep thinking is the VIBES.  Dont embroy's/fetus's/babys feel the "vibes"?  Does pain have to be like a bad thing?  (not with speaking for me here)  I know orgasms are supposedly good for pregnancy, cos of the good vibes... And even with a spanking - you get the adrenaline.. the sub space.. ect ect ect so thats kind of goood, i would think?

i dunno.  i'm not sure what the best course of action here is??  Where do "others" generally go from here??  Does everything just stop?  <wicked grin>

Arrggh!
Replied but got logged out somehow...

Don't have a lot of time now, but basically what I said was watch the emotional and mental effects - they can be unpredictable and stronger than you'd think.  When I was pregnant I lost my desire for submission altogether - some kind of self-preservation instinct kicked in and I couldn't stand the idea of letting someone else be in control of me.  Needless to say, that was a big blow for my relationship.

Other things worth considering:
breast swelling and tenderness
changes in blood pressure
hormones increase the stretchiness of your body, particularly in the pelvic area... which can cause injury if you spread your thighs too wide
late in pregnancy, it is dangerous to lay on your back for too long, as the fetus puts pressure on a major artery

...ok, thats all I can remember for now... maybe add more later... but congratulations and good luck!

   During the first trimester, you're probably ok doing things that do not involve the front pelvic area. That area should be totally off limits until at least 6 weeks after the baby is born, assuming a normal delivery.
  During the second trimester, leaning over for a spanking/paddling without putting pressure on your belly should be ok. Nothing that keeps you on your back for more than like 10 minutes at a time or keeps your arms above your head for more than 5 minutes. Too much of a blood flow decrease to the baby. (this includes arms above the head in a supine position - on your back)
  Personally, i'd stay away from anything that gets adrenaline flowing in the 3rd trimester.
  All those emotional chemicals go through the placenta all during your pregnancy, and what you may experience as pleasure, your baby may not. The less your baby is exposed to any possible conflicting emotional situations, the better, ie. spanking is pleasure/spanking is pain. If the Dominant one is not the pregnant one, He may not have a fun time during the pregnancy, since the pregnant one MUST come first.

edited to fix gramatical stuff, of course, and to add that i have been pregnant and given birth twice.
(Ahhhhh, the memories of thinking that extra estrogen would make me 'feel more like a female'.)

Hey guys - thanks for the tips and stuff.  Any chance anyone has a web site??  When it comes to opionons on this, one sort of really needs many many sources.  To average out the best possible answer.  Websites would be great too = )

BitaTruble -> RE: Pregnancy and D/s (10/29/2006 5:16:29 PM)

Oh nooooo.. you're not getting away with it that easy, Riot!

When are you due?
When did you find out?
Do you have a preference for a boy or a girl?
How are you feeling?
How's Daddy taking the news??
How's the other ankle biter feel about having a new baby in the house?
Have you confirmed with a doctor?
Is this why you've been feeling so upset in the tummy for the last several weeks?

Spill it, woman!!!

Oh .. and... Congratulations!

<<big hugs!!>>

Celeste

Just a theory, maybe it's because you already have someone else in control of your body in a kind of non-consentual way? The alien takes over and for 9 months that's just the way it is. Baby's hungry well you better eat, baby gets the hiccups you better not want to sleep, etc.

dsamethyst -> RE: Pregnancy and D/s (10/29/2006 7:34:27 PM)

Riot girl:

I read f your impending doom..
hey as a mom to 6  i can and will say that!

anyhow  in my humble opinion  oninions in this case shouldbe coming directly from a health care professional!!  I am an RN and I wouldnt touch this stuff iwth a 10 foot pole...there are things that "should be safe"  and yet you can do everything  that is supposed to be safe...and yet something untoward occurs...

I can tell you that every healthy mother with a baby in the NICU for 2 months says the same thing..  But i did everything i was supposed to do...and then there is the 17 year old crack head with the healthy and robust baby that gets to take him home in 2 days

My advice to you is this:
find a health care professional that you are comfortable with.  Be honest and open regrading your usual activities...I would always recommenda midwife...thye can be men or women...but as a whole a midwive tends to according to studies  spend more time with thier  clients...and well when you spend more than 5 minutes at a time with someone  you can feel a bit more comfortable telling them that you get your kiks by getting your nipples twisted...
just my 2 cents worth
have a great day

RiotGirl -> RE: Pregnancy and D/s (10/29/2006 8:19:37 PM)

Whaaaa.. i'm not allowed to get off easy??  For shame!

I'm due June 14th.  Which means i'm like 7 weeks along
I want a boy and it is going to be a boy
I'm feeling DAMN moody.  LOL  Like thats new!  Generally i'm okay, but i've been massively stressed out for the past week.  Luckily my Dom came and he is like majical and some how always destresses me.  De stress, gets rid of anxiety, ect.. so i'm doing fantastic now!  LOL course he is still here and staying another night cos he knows its been alittle rough on me lately.  Been feeling overwhelemed, because i've been feeling like utter crap and well about failed out of school.  Not reaaaaaally.  But i'm taking 6 classes and 2 of them i just sorta dropped below my expectations.  BUT i dropped one class and the other the teacher is working with me on.

He's taking it well.  Cant believe i'm going to put another him on this planet.  LOL

Yup, confirmed with the ER.  They did an ultrasound (one of those intervagina thingies) and i saw the heart beat!!

Yeah - thats why i've been feeling pretty crappy lately.  Plus i had an enlarged ovarian cyst.. but some one on here explained to me why it's going to shrink and i have been feeling alot better in that respect.

Pretty much, one moment i'm crying over my grades and the next minute all i want to do is touch my Dom.... aaaaaaaaaah......... and then the next minute i'm what my Dom says "have a horsefly in my pants"  LOL  oo and then sometimes i'm like massively logical and super "gots to do it the right way" and then there other times things are just hilarious.. i dunno.. i'm just flowing with it.  DAMN but i BETTER get a 4.0.  Imma be soooooooo upset if i dont

Thanks and Hugs!

P.S.  Thanks mods for correcting that link - i wasnt sure what to do with it.

AND NO - PUSSY PICS.  NOT until i see nekkid pics of you [:D]

and i'll TRY and ask the obgyn - if you can believe it, i get massively shy.

RiotGirl -> RE: Pregnancy and D/s (10/29/2006 8:30:09 PM)

lol i'm not too bad after birth.  Abit possessive.  I had some one point that out last time.  Dur - i'm just like MY BABY.  Cant help it.. der cute and sweet.. and just awwwwwwwesome and mine.  Mine!

But generally through pregnancy.. eek.  I've kicked more friends out the door being pregnant then not.  Like i had one friend use too many paper towels.. and well.. LOL

oh bita - and the ankle biter is THRILLED.  I had to explain that it takes while for things to work through.  She's thrilled
