About 7pm last night, I was able to locate a dog sitter. I showed him the routine. So after a good night sleep mom and I left for Chicago. As I was loading the car, I wrechenched my back. My sister has been in the hospital all night- contractions have been 3 minutes apart.
60 miles into the trip- I wetn into my bag for a pain pill. Lo and behold- I had left my oxy at home. Try and replace THAT on teh road!
It seemed like mom wanted to cry, when I got on the i80 east, not west.
Add to the friday traffic, rain snow or sleet, the distance is 640 miles.
I am home now- pumped full of pills.
I called my sister in the hospital to let her know- we had to turn back.
I explained to her how important she is to me.
Mom thought we should try again. But has a splitting headache
