Are you not eating because you get a bad feeling in your stomach or you actually cannot keep anything down?

If it is just a bad feeling then eat bland food and clear liquids, but make sure you eat! Not eating to avoid feeling that way is basically feeding the problem. Being abnormally weaken by not eating is not a good way to get healthy.

If you are not keeping the food down:

Very general advice. If things are not getting better then insist on seeing the doctor or another one. It is not unusual  for a person to lose their appetite when sick and on strong antibiotics but not being able to keep anything down after this time is a big concern to me and it sounds that there has been no real improvement in days.

I would strongly reccomend talking to the doctor in a serious tone and not let them blow you off. It probably is nothing and might have passed already after I typed this, a simple switch in medication or anything, but if you are unable to eat anything or barely anything after this amount of time, that to me is not something to wait out.

I can keep things down at this point, but I just feel sick when I try to eat or think about eating.  I can eat a few bites here and there, but that is all.  And that's when I feel hungry, which I generally don't.
I have found an amazing product though, Emetrol.  Just a couple tablespoons and I feel better for a while.

Pedialyte (for babies) is what I use when I've been in this situation. I've also discovered that mashed potatos go down pretty easy. Acidopholis is a herbal remedy that's basically good stomach germs. Anytime I'm on anti-biotics I use it.

Yes, it tastes like pure cherry-sugar, but if it works then it works (and it's over the counter, which is even better)

I have always gotten excellent help here for problems of this nature.  I hope that I am not wearing out my welcome asking them [:)]

Over the early part of last week I was in the hospital for a severe kidney infection (you know, IV meds, huge pain killers to try to keep me from passing out, all that fun stuff).  I was let out and ordered to take oral antibiotics for 10 days.  For the first three days I was vomiting up everything that touched my lips with the exception of water and the antibiotics (thank god).  I am feeling better now (and almost 17 pounds lighter, no joke), but I have a slight problem.  I can't eat.  I try to eat and can eat a few bites before I feel sick to my stomach.  Everytime I think of food it seems to make me sick.  I called my doctor and she said that is normal and that it will pass with time.  Here's the big problem.  I still have to work.  I can't stand for more then about half an hour and that is not very good for someone who works 10-20 hour shifts on her feet.  I want to eat and I feel like eating, but after a few bites I can't force myself to any more.
Does anyone have any advice for things that I could eat that would give me the most benefits out of a few bites? For example, yesterday, in 24 hours, I was able to eat one Zone Perfect bar, half in the morning, half around 1 am.
I would be more then willing to just wait it out, but I don't have that option.  I talked to my doctor and she said that it would just take some time and to eat when I can.  That I can handle.  I just need advice on what to eat.

It's not what to eat you need- you need another doctor. A second opinion  is in order.

Care to expand on that?  Give reasons, etc.?

I think I have fully explained in this thread that I am properly caring for my health the best that I can.

As soon as they start making health care free (or at least affordable) I can run around and get second and third opinions to health problems that are already diagnosed, but until then I will just have to trust the doctors that will care for me.
