Does anyone really want to play my Giants in the playoffs ?
Lets see, they have the BEST defensive line in the game,as a result they can get pressure on the QB without selling out with a full out blitz. They are receiving some of the best QB play this side of A-Rod....add that up and you got yourself a scary team that just might make a run in the playoffs.

The Saints do.

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/2/2012 11:15:22 AM)

Bring them on.....Brees will not enjoy the uninterrupted time he did in the last game.Usi,Justin and JPP want to get to know him a little bit [:)]

Didnt they lose to the Saints last time?

Drew Brees and Saints roll past Giants, 49-24

Didn't the G men lose 7 games this year ? The road to the Super Bowl goes through Green Bay and frozen Lambeau Field.

Both of the preceding posts are true.......yanno what else is true?
Once upon a time the Patriotswere 18-0.....heading towards the first 19-0 season...truly anhistoric event,of course it didn't turn out that waybut why bother you guys with the details [:D]
All I'm saying is that they are in,and that they are .to put it mildly,a dangerous teamcapable of making a hell of a lot of noise in the playoffs.Let me repeat myself, they can get to the opposing QB with their down 4(which is a blessing) and they are receiving exceptional QB play from Eli....while their running game can at times drive fans crazy they have a talented group of receivers(how about this salsa dancing Cruz kid) who work well with Eli and they can score with anyone......so who wants to play them ?

tazzygirl -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/2/2012 12:04:26 PM)

Yep, but that Packer team got a wake up call with that late loss. Better hope it didnt shake confidence going into the playoffs.

tazzygirl -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/2/2012 12:09:33 PM)

Manning 61%
Brees 71%

Should be a good game.. if they meet. The Giants have to get past Atlanta first.

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/2/2012 12:14:37 PM)

Tazz I actually expect that game to be a bit of a cake walk, comparitively speaking of course.Bigger challenges lie ahead.
Look, lets face it I'm a fan and as such I expect my team to play well,Atlanta has some issues and the Giants should be able to handle them....The Packers and the Saints are another story ,those games ,should the Giants get there, would be huge obstacles....The Falcons....not so much [:)]

Mass firing day.

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/3/2012 9:13:15 AM)

To be expected. The Dan Patrick show ran a poll askig which of the jobs was most appealing(in other words which team has the most in the cupboard for an incoming coach) 1st and 2nd plae went to 2 teams ho haven't fired their coach's as of yet

Dallas and Indy [:D]

servantforuse -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/4/2012 10:30:47 AM)

I see Caldwell staying at Indy. Not so sure about the coach in Dallas. The Colts have a bigger problem. Pay Manning the 28 million he is due in March, or move on with a new QB.. If they do decide to pay him it won't be a gaurantee that he can even play next year..

tazzygirl -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/4/2012 4:09:17 PM)

I can see them, maybe, letting him go. But he wont be gone.

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/4/2012 4:19:43 PM)

Manning is determined to play next year, whether in Indy or somewhere else.Indy would sort of owe it to him to grant him his release if they intend to draft Luck rather than get Manning the help he needs. If they spend the pick on Luck than they should cut Manning loose and just start over.....keeping Manning and drafting Luck leaves little cap room to build a team that contends now...so why do it that way?

servantforuse -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/4/2012 4:23:24 PM)

I think they cut Manning. I think he got paid 26 million this year and I think it's around 28 next. That's a lot of money for not taking one snap.

You forgot to strike 'the pose' as you said that I bet.

Oh I have no doubt he struck the pose... just not the one you may be thinking of, Hill. [;)]

Epytropos -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (1/7/2012 4:55:27 PM)

*sigh*

21 point loss and the rookie choking like a virgin on prom night. Looks like we're waiting 23 years. I've been following the Bengals since I was 3 years old and I never manage to quit wanting to throw my beer through the TV when they pull shit like this. God grant me the serenity...
