That's just what Mike McCarthy keeps telling this team. I guess they weren't listening to him yesterday.

As I said ...."the best thing that could happen to them".
Ponder this would the 2007 Super Bowl have had a different outcome had the Giants prevailed in their earlier meeting ?

servantforuse -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (12/19/2011 5:21:31 PM)

I still can't believe that the Giants won that game. I was in Green Bay that night and can't ever remember it being that cold. It was brutal. I knew they would win the Super Bowl after that game. I can also tell you this. The entire state of Wisconsin was pulling for the Giants to win it all that year.

Anyone watching Monday Night Football ? A transformer blew up and the field went dark minutes before opening kickoff.

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (12/19/2011 5:47:19 PM)

Yeah, the overhead shot of it happening was cool...as Boomer said though few municipalities are as ready to deal with situations such as this.

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (12/19/2011 5:50:55 PM)

That intro from Joe Montana was way better than whats his name and his silly song [:D]

I'm tired of that song they play for Sunday Night football as well.

Damnit. Do we have to ban Michael Bay from the games?

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (12/19/2011 6:02:47 PM)

C'mon man...what can be wrong with looking at Faith Hill ?

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (12/19/2011 6:33:16 PM)

Disclaimer...I don't like Rothlisberger,he offends me on more than a few levels....that being said, this is one though sonofabitch, but playing as he is on basically one leg....is he perhaps hurting his team ?
Two picks so far.....two posesssions ,two turnovers.

servantforuse -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (12/19/2011 6:43:49 PM)

Remember Bens broken nose last year ? That one made me cringe.

I HATE it when the game stops unexpectedly and we get "treated" to commentators filling the air with stream of consciousness.

slvemike4u -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (12/19/2011 7:42:16 PM)

What would you prefer they fill the air with......a little song and dance ? [:D]

tazzygirl -> RE: NFL Sob or Jump for Joy (12/20/2011 5:19:20 PM)

They really need to quit feeding Ben's ego, which is the reason why he isnt benched except when he says so. The rumors is that they will break his motivation for playing the game.

I dont like him, never made any bones about it. But as QB, he is one tough cookie. Too tough, too good, to have been allowed to take the field and risk further injury. 2 interceptions, less than 60% pass completions... this isnt Ben. The Rooney's should know better.

Now, the playoffs are back in question. Could Batch have done a better job? Possibly not. But it would have ensured Ben had another week of healing time before the next game. Instead, they lose the guaranteed play off spot and he lost a week of healing time.

It truly was not worth it to pacify him or his ego.

I can finally say it......The road to Indianapolis goes thru Lambeau Field!!
The Packers have finally locked down home field advantage throughout the playoffs in addition to the first round bye.

GO PACK GO!!

And one Packer Fan was acclaimed for having the  Best Sign At The Game
I wonder if she told him before or if this was her telling him.

+1. Hank got tired after a while but Faith was horrible from day one.

ETA: SNF would be better if Joan Jett did the theme song.
