And sometimes I feel that the time is ripe for another league.  They pop up periodically, usually when NFL owners are being too greedy and too closed, and it's been a while since we had the last one--namely the USFL, which failed only because Donald Trump drove it into the ground.  Plenty of great players came out of the USFL.  I can think of plenty of cities where minor-league football would be profitable.

Minnesota seems to be having reasonable success with minor league football. They sell out most games without any corporate help at all!

The Packers totally outplayed the Steelers.

The Packers got four turnovers and still couldn't seal a six point victory until 0:47 was left in the game. That's domination.

How do NFL fans watching the lockout process this:

The league needs a reduction in the percentage of revenue going to the players, but it adamantly refuses to show each team's full audited financial statement as proof.

I don't think all team books need to be opened, but the books of a few representative teams might help clarify the owner's position.

I leave this draft wondering, "how many of the seven QBs taken will pan out?"

I also hope that D. Bowers proves everyone wrong.

Not only him, but the Patsies picked up Haynesworth...the guy who didn't want to play in a 3-4 defense in Washington.

Packers victorious, again. No one else is playing in their league. Can you say fivepeat?

I also think that the Lions are going to have a nice team if their fucking quarterback would stop getting broken.

Prediction. The Cowboys will start out hot, screw up toward the end of the season and settle for a wild card.
Then, they'll totally step on their collective dicks and lose again.

I made it to the Superbowl last year with my fantasy football team and ended up losing by 3 points to take second place (and $150!) because of Vicks performance (I had Peyton Manning for my QB last year.. he did all right by me so I can't complain but Vick kept me from the over all win.)

I am optimistic about my team this year but I need some help at WR since I FAILED in my homework assignment thinking that picking up Edwards on the cheap was a good thing. ::sigh:: Now I'll have to go to the waiver wire. Anyone I should be on the look out for in areas where I'm weak? I was 9th pick out of 12 teams.

My team this year:

QB Aaron Rodgers
Ben Roethlisberger

RB Ryan Grant (please stay healthy this time!!)
BenJarvius Green-Ellis
Fred Jackson
Danny Woodhead

WR Andre Johnson
Austin Collie
Braylon Edwards (Okay, I screwed that one up because I didn't know about the probable upcoming suspension.. my bad for not doing my homework. I took him thinking that Michael Crabtree would be out and he'd split duties with Morgan. Now I need to hit the WW)

TE Tony Gonzales
Chris Cooley (ack! Get that knee back in shape, dude!)
Dustin Keller

D/St - Jets
Falcons

K - Nate Kaeding

I like my team but obviously need a little help in some areas. Who should I be looking for to pick up off the wire? (I'll pick up a K for the bye week when the time comes).

Who should I dump (besides Braylon?) I don't know if Tony Gonzales has another year in him or if Chris Cooley is going to be able to rehab the knee and Dustin Keller sure was a disappointment last year. I would like to be well rounded and have another shot at the Superbowl this year. Any help, insight would be appreciated and if I win the SB this year, cyberbeer is on me.

Oh and my prediction for SB winner this year.. The Pack, of course!
