The Bears need a lot of work on that offensive line,  and 1 real receiver

All the receivers in the world won't help if your QB can't throw it straight, or high enough.

Great fat guy dance tonight though :)

ThatDamnedPanda -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/23/2011 3:19:18 PM)

I've got to get the Pandamobile washed first thing in the morning so all these damned Viking fans can read my "GREEN BAY PACKERS" sticker on the rear window!!!!

CHAMPIONS!!!!!!

Congrats man. Deserved. I don't think anyone would claim the Bears should have won that, on that performance.

Now ... time to focus ... breathe slow ... breathe deep ... get ready for the Steelers! :)

STEELERS!

barelynangel -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/23/2011 3:28:38 PM)

LoL lemme guess a fan?  Tell me RF, how does one from another country become such fan of specific teams?  I mean how the hell did you become a fan of the PACKERS?   No one becomes a packers fan unless you have a connection to that state lol.  When the cool state and team is across the border -- CHICAGO!

DomImus -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/23/2011 3:36:03 PM)

Has there ever been a defensive player in the history of the NFL who is smart enough to go down to the turf after intercepting a pass late in a big game to preserve their team's lead and victory? Nope. Gotta go for that pick six. Gotta get on that highlight film. Is there jersey number derived from their I.Q. perhaps? That was a brutal, ugly game but mostly fun to watch.

No I'm a Steelers fan! I just want a Packers/Steelers Superbowl :)

I spent my years aged 2-6 in the states (then later for periods of time in my teenage years from weeks to months); when I was little I apparently used to love the Steelers, and whenever they came on I used to go crazy and laugh constantly and clap my hands.

My mum reckons it was their colours? Coz I sure couldn't have known what was going on at that age?

Anyway ... game time!

Ladies and gentlemen, we are at TowelCon 1!

OK, Friend Fugue, it was undoubtedly your support that tipped the balance in our favor, so now I will return the gesture. I got my vintage, 30-year old Terrible Towel out of my grandmother's cedar chest, and am currently warming up my right arm for a long evening of waving.

Full credit to the Bears tonight for refusing to go down quietly. The way the Packers established themselves early on, there was absolutely no way this game should have even been close by the end of the 3rd quarter - but the Bears, with their 3rd string quarterback for god's sake, came within a couple of plays of pulling this damned thing out. Utterly inexcusable for Green Bay, but an exemplary 2nd-half performance by the Chicagos.

Thank you Panda, it's greatly appreciated! :)

I waved mine during the 1st challenge (of the spot) and it worked :)

We have to win today so I can use TT during the Superbowl.

Waiting on the 2nd challenge now ... <waves towel> ...

NO!

We got hosed there. Hosed.

You're doing us proud Panda :)

7-0 :)

DomKen -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/23/2011 4:30:22 PM)

Cutler showed no heart. If he was able to walk around he should have gotten a pain shot and played.

The 3rd stringer looked better than Cutler and almost brought the Bears back.

Congrats to the Packers and their fans.

Absolutely. As Panda said, full respect to the Bears for never giving up, and hanging in there, and fair play to their 3rd string QB.

RapierFugue -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (1/23/2011 4:58:40 PM)

OH YES! :)

There are already plans being made to greet him with an ocean of Green and Gold Packers wear and memoribilia. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..........
