My conclusion is that the Patriots have a better quarterback than we do.

The Green Bay Packers will be out East to play the Patriots December 19. This will be one tough game for the Pack.

yes, that completely explains the 45 points put up on the defense.

Well Mr. Jason-Garrett-won't-do-any-better-than-Wade-Phillips, I'd say Brady had a lot to do with those 45 points, no?

Also the Jets sucked.  I guess that had something to do with it too.

You would have been hard pressed to count to find 10 Cowboys fans who would have said they wanted Jason in charge.  None of us saw this coming.

You have a Ryan as head coach,  be prepared for disappointment.

A Rex Ryan team is always in trouble when it can't get effective pressure on the QB. The Ravens were something like 0-6 v. the Colts over the past 8 years, and part of that outcome was tied to Peyton Manning's clean, blue & white jersey.

The JETS needed to win the turnover battle and get some sacks and pressure on the QB -- but the PATs offense had an answer for every challenge.

I think we have found the league's Super Bowl favorite.

Brady looks to have eclipsed the competition for the league MVP.

Unblocked safeties off the edge on a blind side --- spell TROUBLE for the defenseless QB. The error in this equation is "unblocked." If an offense needs to pick a poison, it should slide its protection to the blind side and let any unblocked defenders rush from the other side.

Baltimoreans are waiting for Flacco to assert himself more at the line of scrimmage to make adjustments; its also baffling that the offensive coordinators didn't call timeout once the overload was set in place with BAL's LT, Michael Oher, left to chose between blocking either (a) James Harrison or (b) Troy Polamalu.

I'm a die hard Patriots fan of 30+ years who is still relishing the complete dismantling of the Jets on MNF. < sorry, LAM. >
However... it was only one game and we have some tough games ahead of us, starting with the Bears.  I like our chances, and I absolutely would not have said that  6 weeks ago. The team is still evolving. I see Pitt and Balt as equal contenders for the SB, and it's going to be a helluva ride for the next few weeks.

Though true Flacco should have adjusted the blocking scheme, what is missed was the affect James Harrison had in the whole play. If you watch the replay, Harrison is lined up on the LT's outer shoulder, than moves down towards the gap. That was when Flacco should have called a TO or audibled. What Harrison did was cause the corner to be shortened for Polamalu, because the LT now has to block DOWN to the right on Harrison, and Polamalu the shortened distance to get around and force the fumble. Without Harrison's little move to the inside, Flacco gets the short pass off. What you saw occuring was one team outcoaching another, and in the biggest moment of the game.

But what did you expect, I mean, come on the real problem in Baltimore isn't the OC, or Flacco, or anyone else except that whiney, arrogant clown of a HC the Ravens have, Harbaugh himself. Against the big boys, he is usually outcoached. His days are numbered though, because once Ray Lewis is done from either retirement or age (he's showing signs of slowing down now here late in the season), Harbaugh is done. The team is going to look to him for leadership, and what they will find is an excuse maker, a poor sport, and a loser.

The irony with BAL coaches is Billick arrived as an offensive guru and got that side of the ball straightened out. Harbaugh was a special teams coach, and BAL's special teams are mediocre at best, save for the PK.

The Ravens have been ahead of all the teams they have lost to as some point in the 4th QTR (NE, ATL, PITT, CIN) so it will be interesting to see if the coaches can get more out of the team to challenge opponents in the playoffs.

I found this game on one of the Jets message boards. It's aboslutely hilarious and fun to play. Gotta love BB mumbling, with the video camera, in the background and Dungy coming out on his high horse. You need to play it a few times for all the characters to appear. Funny stuff.

The irony was that BB and Gruden  were both offensive gurus who both got fired because their offense stank.

Cute.  I actually got my highest score the very first time I played.  After that, I ate a lot of ass-smelling cape.
