I'm just glad that I hmm'd and haw'd about my fantasy picks from the jets until it was too late now LOL.  But damn!  How about this game!  I really didn't expect this turn of events at all.

The one game, all playoffs, I'm not really caring about, turns out to be the most fair, and extremely entertaining.  :)  I love this sport.

Just saw this:

quote:

GREENWOOD, S.C. (AP)—Gaines Adams(notes), an All-American defensive end at Clemson whose career never blossomed in the NFL with Chicago and Tampa Bay, died Sunday after going into cardiac arrest. He was 26.

Yeah, heard about that early on today.  A big shame, and kind of scary too.  26 years old, in great physical condition, and... well...  I guess when your time is up, it's up, no matter what your age or condition.

Reminds me of the basketball player for the Celtics a while back who had a heart attack on the court during practice.  All the medical care and conditioning and tests they go through, but they don't notice something like an enlarged heart.

well,  what do you know about that.  Comes down to Minnesota v. New Orleans and New York Jets (really?  The Jets?  Like, the green and white team from NY that's only won like 4 games since Namath retired?  No shit...?) v. Indianapolis.  Goofy goofy stuff.

Yeah, and you have to have the thought of steroids in mind, as well; that stuff wreaks so much havoc.

And now it's a done deal, Jones gets the first down, Jets win.

Will it be Colts vs Saints, maybe the shootout of the century? A Super Bowl that plays like the Cardinals/Packers game recently?

I might have to pull for the Jets.  There might just be a lesson in there about not playing to win and letting someone else slip into the playoffs.

I'm actually thinking that the jets win set the stage for Indy v. Minn.  God I'd love to see that.  Again though, I'm not putting bets on anyone at this point.

What we have seen is that dome teams have a tremendous home field advantage, so the Saints and Colts are my pick for the Super Bowl.

LordandMaster must have put the hex on Nate Kaeding.

Nate Kaeding looks like a 12 year old.  And he picked the worst time to choke.  Discuss.

I love Mike & Mike on ESPN2.  And my SB scenario is Jets over Vikes.

Yeah, 3 misses... I'd SO fire him.  That's bad... This is why I'm sticking with the old warhorse, Jay Feeley for my fantasy team.  However, Chris Kluwe, the punter for Minnesota... He's a cutie!

Unchartered territory for this fan. Had to laugh when they won last week, and again tonight. No/low expectations makes a win so much more fun. (and even funny) On to Indy.....yeah, why not?

Hahaha, I know! :)  I do have to admit to kind of rooting for them myself (underdog syndrome and all that, you know).  And, yeah... >.>     I'm a bit of a closet Jets fan too.  Come on, I'm a sucker for lost causes.  I'm a Cubs fan...

For the Cowboys haters:

The Vikes took it to them, and anyone doubting Favre's arm strength, after that bomb to Rice, may want to rethink.

I want the Saints to win it all now, I can't muster much lurve for any of the remaining teams. The Jets winning would be ok, just to see New York get all spazzy over it.

Sorry Level, around here we detest the Cowboys and root for whomever is playing them. This one was just extra sweet.

The Bears traded their 2nd round draft pick for Gaines Adams. While it is unfortunate and sad all I could think was.."that is SO Bears"
