Status: offline 		The Sainthood of Sean Taylor.  Is anyone else confused or surprised by this turn of events?  He is leading the pro bowl voting in his position.  There was a ton of media coverage about his life and death.  Although I didn't hear any mention of that rude incident where he spit on an opponent.  It's unfortunate that he died and in a violent manner, but I don't understand all of the attention.  And Ray Lewis' win-one-for-Sean-and-the-U display, left me going....argh.  I'll probably go to heck for speaking ill of the dead, but there it is.

Status: offline 		I don't understand it either. Certainly tragic and newsworthy, but the degree of coverage it is getting miffs me. Denver lost a Darrent Williams last year to a drive by shooting and didn't get this much attention. We lost Marquise Hill in a jet ski accident this summer, granted he was not a starter, but none the less.

I may get hammered for this one, but what I think it comes down to is: Taylor was a bad boy, who by all accounts was turning his life around and going straight. Being a good team mate and Dad, future hubby. Hill and the Williams were already good guys with no baggage. Taylor is like a Cinderella story cut short. The media and  people in general  think how
* unfair * this death was simply because he was turning his life around. When in fact the others were equally tragic and unfair, but not as interesting a story as a classic bad boy makes good.

Status: offline 		Sean Taylor got his life on track.  He had his kid and the girl he probably would have married.  Supposedly the guys who capped him, he had hired weeks before to do his yardwork.  They were buddies of his from the hood and he wanted to get them going on a straight job and give them some money and those fucking animals murdered him for it.

In so many ways, Don Shula's world is perfect. 
Whether his 1972 Miami Dolphins can remain the NFL's only perfect team is another story.

Shula was in attendance Monday night when New England remained undefeated with a 27-24 comeback victory over Baltimore. Shula allows the Patriots "have an excellent opportunity to run the table" just like the 1972 Dolphins did when finishing 17-0 and winning Super Bowl VII.

"The Patriots are 12-0 now and they've won games all kinds of ways," Shula told FOXSports.com during a Wednesday morning telephone interview. "They've won in blowout fashion and they've won tight games. They do everything you have to do to continue to win. They're strong in every department."

But beatable? The NFL's all-time winningest head coach thinks so.

The Broncos actually lost two players in the off-season, and yeah, it didn't get as much attention. Fell of deaf ears really.

The Ravens failed to make any plays on offense in the fourth quarter. I thought NE was ripe for the taking with a fake punt, but Billick kept it very conservative.

I'm curious now if Steve McNair's career is over.

I think NE will rip PITT to pieces. That's my guy feeling.
