Sorry, I'm still in the afterglow of Peyton's 6 INTs.

The NFL has reinstated Ricky Williams.  The Dolphins may be interested!

I'm not sure who he belongs to technically.

Me neither.
So Google is my friend and I guess technically he is Miami's to deal with.

The NFL's reinstatement of Miami running back Ricky Williams puts Cam Cameron in a bind. Allow Williams to return and possibly suffer the same headaches as predecessors Nick Saban and Dave Wannstedt. Release him and snuff a ray of hope for an 0-9 team.

Okay, so they have to take him back or release him.

Believe it or not, a well-written article about........... kickers.

quote:

My first exposure to the precarious social status of the professional field-goal kicker came unexpectedly, at a game between the Detroit Lions and the New Orleans Saints on Nov. 8, 1970. There were just two seconds left, and the Saints were losing, which wasn't unusual. The unusual thing was that the game was still close: 17-16. The Saints had the ball, and a field goal would win it — except the ball was in the Saints' half of the field, on the 43-yard line. And the record distance the ball would have to travel — 63 yards — was only the first of the kicker's problems. He was kicking from a dirt surface churned up like a World War I battlefield. The ball would need to cut through the thick, humid New Orleans air and into the closed end of Tulane Stadium, where the wind swirled unpredictably. On top of all that, the kicker lacked the most basic requirement for his job: a foot.

His name was Tom Dempsey, and he was born without fingers on his right hand or toes on his right foot.

mb and Katy, they should take him and plug his ass into the backfield. I can't believe that team has sunk so low.

Someone is trying to fuck with the Dallas Cowboys. This crap is not going to bring them down. Dallas is going all the way this year fair and square as they have always done.

It's not always about toys and good times. This is a serious decision Cam Cameron has to make. Leave it to you to make light of the situation.

I read this last night. I was wondering if this was the Sting Op that they bagged Rodney Harrison for HGH on. The article I had didn't give info, but Operation Raw Deal is the one they got this guy on and Harrison.

The Cowboys and the Falcons may be in trouble if this guy spills the beans, which it looks like he is postioning himself to do.

What amazes me is that some players are actually ordering this stuff under their own name. I'm not condoning it, but if I was going to do something that put my job at risk, I certainly would be a little smarter than that.

I saw that!  Your Pats play the mighty Bills tonight.... but, in the future, that may mean driving to Canada....

quote:

Dennis Crawley and 14 buddies will gather Sunday morning outside Ralph Wilson Stadium. They will grill food, trade tales, watch other NFL games and start a garbage-can fire if the weather gets cold enough. By the time Crawley and Co. are seated for Buffalo's night game against New England, the outcome will almost be an afterthought.
"Being out there in the weather, cooking and having fun is how I look at this," Crawley says of his tailgating. "I hope the team is going to win. Even if they don't, I'm happy to be out there.

"Five days a week, we're working people with tough jobs. There's not a lot of people here who make a ton of money, so this means a lot to us."    But the shiver recently shooting down Crawley's spine wasn't from a winter breeze blowing off Lake Erie. Starting in 2008, the Bills want to play one regular-season home game in Toronto for the next five years.

Perfect Pats Would Be Best Ever - By Sal Paolantonio
ESPN

If we had sporting royalty in this country, Don Shula would be it. He's our national grand uncle of pro football. When he opens his mouth, we wait for the golden nuggets of NFL history and wisdom to tumble out.

That's why he caused quite a stir last week when he told the New York Daily News that the New England Patriots were in jeopardy of being labeled the Barry Bonds of NFL history -- and then backpedaled on the "Mike & Mike" show on ESPN Radio the next day.

Perhaps Shula was just trying to protect the honor of his 1972 Dolphins, the only team to turn in a perfect season. Maybe he was just trying to spark a little debate, start a little bar-room sports argument about the best Super Bowl team ever, anticipating that the Patriots are headed to 16-0 and their fourth Lombardi Trophy.

So, let's jump in. If the Pats hoist Vince on Feb. 3 in Arizona -- and go undefeated in the process -- let's make no mistake about it: They will be the best Super Bowl team ever. And it won't even be close.

Let's compare the 2007 Patriots to three possible contenders for best-ever Super Bowl team: the 1972 Dolphins, the 1985 Bears and the 1989 49ers.

The greatest team to ever take the field are the 2007 Green Bay Packers.....It is a beautiful thing....I sent the Packers a memo suggesting that it might be a nice touch if they could could place the likeness of Whitney on the left sleeve of their uniforms. Just a nice tribute to the woman who has the greatest voice of all-time.

Level, I know some higher ups in the Packer organization....With a little prompting I might be willing to discuss the measure of placing a pic of "The Cos" on the inside of their cups.

A good day for the precious Brett, DG.

Cleveland fans, hold on to those lucky charms you must be clutching.....

Dallas trails the Redskins, 7-0. That cannot stand.

Adam Vinatieri made up for an off couple of weeks, kicking a winning FG for the Colts.

Steelers and Jets in a tussle.

Sorry, Katy

Looks like Dallas might lose to Washington, too.

Seattle's turning up the heat a little bit, Matt Hasselbeck is passing it a lot more and doing it very well ever since Alexander was sidelined.

They beat Chicago today, that kicks ass!
