Found out we won't get to see the Pats/Colts matchup............. our local station will be showing the Texans and Raiders.....

You are cordially invited to my humble abode to watch the Pats/Colts game. It's going to be a good party, win or lose.
RSVP: regrets only.

Romo got a nice little deal today, saw it on PTI or Around the Horn, can't remember which one. OTOH, I heard Britney Spears gave him a lap dance ay some club in Cali, and that they are hanging together. What happened to him and that Underwood chic?

twas a thing of beauty....Whilst I was finishing up my fourth pint of Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA........ If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. ...

http://www.dogfish.com/brewings/Year_Round_Beers/90_Minute_IPA/11/index.htm

Precious came out and does what is expected of one so precious....It was a glorious thang!  6-1...I have to admit that no one could have predicted this tremendous of a turn around.....In a stirring and emotional, pre-game speech in a closed locker room, Brett dedicated this game to the Domidong.

That was a great game, although filled with penalties, I guess it's the mile-high thing.
Brett did great, I was sitting down getting ready to watch the OT, and suddenly it was over.  Also, Jay Cutler does have a future...

As the Packers scored the winning touchdown ...I had this out of body experience in which Brett favre's hand was guiding the Domidong to anally penetrate kittiekat just as Jennings nonconsentually broke the seal of Denver's goal line....It was a beautiful experience.... A packed Mile High stadium hushed to the point that you could hear a pin drop or a kittiekat quietly sobbing.

I think Jay Cutler was also quietly sobbing.

More reasons to like Romo:

quote:

As Jones and coach Wade Phillips showered him with praise for about 45 minutes, Romo desperately tried to supress a grin that has contributed mightily to his growing fortune. Repeatedly asked whether the money would change him, he finally deadpanned, "I think definitely I'm a better person now because I have more money."

And the Valley Ranch press corps roared its approval.

Both Jones and his son, Stephen, talked about the active role Tony played in the negotiation process. At one point, Stephen told the quarterback he wasn't willing to concede a certain aspect of the contract. Romo walked down the hall to the elder Jones' office, and within seconds, had what he was looking for.

"I should've dealt with [Jerry] the whole time," Romo told Stephen, who said he'd never had a player take such an active role in negotiations.

Watching Romo give the "better person now because I have more money" answer, and his subsequent smile and shake of the head, you can tell this is a decent guy. The kind you'd wish well, even if he played for the Redskins, or 49ers lol.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- Detroit Lions quarterback Jon Kitna and his wife dressed up as a naked man and a fast-food drive-through attendant at a teammate's Halloween party, depicting an embarrassing moment for one of the team's assistant coaches.

Now Kitna is getting some flak on local TV and in a newspaper column. Kitna said he was just trying to have fun, but regrets the scrutiny the costumes created.

"If I would've known this, I wouldn't have done it because I didn't want to try to bring attention to it," Kitna said Wednesday while surrounded by reporters and television cameras.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- The Indianapolis Colts held out of Wednesday's practice Pro Bowl players defensive end Dwight Freeney and wide receiver Marvin Harrison, and starting guard Ryan Lilja.

All three were listed as out for the practice because of a team decision.

Harrison, an eight-time Pro Bowler and the franchise's career receiving leader, has missed two of the last three games with a bruised left knee although coach Tony Dungy was optimistic Harrison would play in Sunday's showdown against undefeated New England.
"He won't practice today, but I do anticipate he'll practice tomorrow," Dungy said before practice. "I think he'll play (Sunday), but we'll have to see how it goes."
The absence of Freeney is not an uncommon occurrence. He also sat out last Wednesday's workout and has occasionally taken extra days off this season to stay healthy.

Three more starters sat out part of practice with injuries.

Linebackers Freddy Keiaho (ear) and Tyjuan Hagler (neck) and rookie left tackle Tony Ugoh (neck) were all listed as limited participants. Hagler replaced Rocky Boiman in the starting lineup against Jacksonville on Oct. 22.

Backup safety Matt Giordano (hamstring) also missed part of practice Wednesday.

Dungy said earlier this week he expects to have everyone back for the game.

In a rare schedule change, the Colts also barred reporters from watching all but the stretching exercises Wednesday.

A judge who sentenced Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid's sons to jail on Thursday likened the coach's home to "a drug emporium" and questioned whether his adult sons should live there.

How sad for Andy. Two sons racing into the abyss.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Colts doctors have told Pro Bowl receiver Marvin Harrison he can play against New England, and he hopes to.

Whether he actually makes it on the field is up to coach Tony Dungy.

Harrison missed all three practices this week because of a bruised left knee, and Dungy said Harrison and several others are expected to be game-time decisions for the contest between the NFL's final two unbeaten teams.

Sporting News - Before one of his press conferences this week, Browns coach Romeo Crennel was asked how he was doing.

"Doing good," Crennel replied.

No arguments here. Back in August, few people foresaw the Browns (4-3) reaching Week 9 with a winning record. They've done it with at least four people having terrific seasons -- wide receiver Braylon Edwards, quarterback Derek Anderson, left tackle Joe Thomas and offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski.

Edwards has become one of the best receivers in football. He's a big target, he makes difficult catches in traffic and he's tough to bring down. Edwards was labeled an underachiever during his first two years in Cleveland, but the main problem was that he wasn't getting the ball consistently.

FoxSports - Given the state of the NFC, Sunday's game between the Colts and the Patriots — aggregate 2007 record, 15-0 — should offer more interest and suspense than the Super Bowl. These franchises have the best and brightest front-office personnel, eventual Hall of Fame quarterbacks in their prime, not to mention Canton-bound receivers. Their defensive schemes were designed by coaches with astounding aptitudes for the hitting side of the game.

But in all other matters — ethos, values, temperament — these coaches seem antithetical. Actually, if you think about it, this is shaping up as a contest between the coaches. The NFL, an institution that commands the media's most obedient attentions, does pre-game hype better than the WWE. You won't need a program to tell the heroes from the villains, the babyface from the heel. Their personas will be inevitably exaggerated, rendered as caricatures. By kickoff time, Tony Dungy versus Bill Belichick will be shorthand for Good versus Evil.

The bookies like Evil by 5-and-a-half. Still, that shouldn't affect your rooting interest. The more you see from Bill Belichick, the more difficult it is to like the guy.

I like evil.

Don't allow all of this hype to distract you from the big Monday Night game.  Steelers host the Ravens, a huge AFC north rivalry, (haters!  both of them), it's also throw-back jersey night (yeck), and 75th anniversary celebration  for the Steelers.
