NEW YORK (AP) - A New York Jets season-ticket holder filed a class-action lawsuit Friday against the New England Patriots and coach Bill Belichick for "deceiving customers."
The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Newark, N.J., by Carl Mayer of Princeton Township, N.J., stems from the Patriots being caught illegally videotaping signals from Jets coaches in New England's 38-14 season-opening win Sept. 9.

"They violated the integrity of the game," Mayer's attorney, Bruce Afran, told The Associated Press. "This is a way of punishing Belichick and the Patriots."

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) - Oakland Raiders quarterback Josh McCown will miss Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins with a broken toe on his left foot, giving Daunte Culpepper the start against his former team.
McCown has not practiced all week but coach Lane Kiffin waited until Friday to officially declare that he would not be able to play Sunday.

McCown broke his toe in the first quarter of last week's 26-24 victory over Cleveland. Culpepper replaced him in the second half and finished the victory.

Culpepper, who was released by the Dolphins in July after one season, will get his first start since last Oct. 1 for Miami.

Andrew Walter will be the backup Sunday and No. 1 overall draft pick JaMarcus Russell will be the third-stringer. Russell has been with the team for a little more than two weeks after a lengthy contract dispute

Hehe, University of Texas do-rag.

What about Matt Leinart?  Does anyone think that perhaps Arizona is positioning itself to get rid of him in the future?  Is it possible, with his contract?  I guess some other teams may want him.  There was speculation on a radio program this week to that effect.   Citing that he may not be a good fit for them, or that he's not as good as he appeared in college (with a great team surrounding him).  That his time to make his talents known is slipping away.  That he is now in a position of having to compete for a position in what was thought of as his team.  Thoughts?

I would genuinely be stunned if they get rid of Leinart, Katy. They  need to continue building the O-line, to go with the solid recieving and running corp, before they dismiss him as a failure, not to mention, give him some time to grow.

For the first time this season I will be unable to watch "Precious" in action....Don't feel like going out to a sports bar....Oh God!!! What will he do without me?

Why would people in Chicago want to watch the Bears when Precious is playing?

Ah, did you see Marino congratulate Favre?
Also, Romo is looking great.

USF is having a special season, aren't they? And Chucky has the Bucs playing well, too.

I grew up during the 0-26 McKay years, so any winning season is a miracle to me!

Oww, yeah, things were rough those first few seasons! Remember who your first QB was? Steve Spurrier

But things got better; Doug Williams, Lee Roy Selmon, Hugh Green, came along.

Oh god that game was awful to watch.  I like Willie Parker, don't get me wrong, but does he have to get the ball so much?  Especially when Santonio Holmes is there?  Sheesh.

Holmes is an explosive player, as is Parker, finding a balance is the key. You host the Seahawks next week, I bet things will be back on track then.

I actually did see Tomlin show some emotion today.  That was a relief as I was beginning to fear he has no affect.
