Some person messaged me several days ago, and their name is now appearing in black letters in my mailbox [8\|]. Can anyone tell me why? I've tried to look it up, but to no avail. Thanks! Mikal [:)]

I think it may mean they are no longer a CM member....dissolved their profile and left. Not sure though.

The others are correct.......but keep in mind that the profile you speak of can be re-configured at a later date in time and you may see it / run-in-to-it again. Best wishes - R

I believe it means it's deactivated, not deleted...I find personally, when I see a black name in my email, I get a cup of coffee and sit down before opening ready for a good laugh, because nine times out of ten, it is a zinger against dommes or me personally thrown from the dark and they dissappear, or a letter that you can tell went to all the female members of collarme, then they deactivated so no replies could be given. I will add without fail though, I have never seen one I sorely wished was still a member so I could respond to them.[:D]

I think it really does mean deleted, not simply de-activated, because I've been able to e-mail people whose profiles were de-activated.

You know what they say, once you go black you never come back, I believe deleted as well............

Yes, if you're going to be in a site like this it makes no sense not to have a visable, clear, concise profile and a few pics as well. For myself anyway, if someone doesn't have a visable profile I won't even reply to them on the message boards.

That one always makes me laugh. New profile, 1-3 emails in a day, then profile deleted. I just think "cool, now I don't have to bother"

lol... thanks! I must admit, it was a "winning" email I was sent. Straight to the point, no (brain generated) thought at all. [8D] So I can understand such a person no longer being a member... sigh but said person is probably under a new name or cloned... [sm=mrpuffy.gif]

On occcasion I have deactivated my profile and people can still write me.. but if you try to respond to a black usename, email comes back, no profile available or somthing to that fact..
