Nightmares... it is funny the things that terrify people in dreams. Most things that people would call nightmares do not even bother me at all. I can simply fluff them away to nothingness and continue to sleep in peace. The things that cause my nightmares to awaken me is when there is an external cause that has creeped in to cause the nightmare. Such as my dogs are on the foot of the bed and they are slowly pulling the blankets and sheets up around them and off of me, in my dreams it feels like I am sinking in a mire of quicksand and cannot get out, since the external is real and I have no control over it in my imagination I cannot break the feeling of the sheets slipping away, therefore I cannot break the sinking feeling and those nightmares will terrify me. I have had several of those and all initiated by an action of a pet that was innocent by their nature to keep warm or to snuggle up but in my dream it became sinister. Beyond that, I do not have nightmares.
