Yes I live in NC and work at Duke. It is a bunch of crap. The DA has a vendetta against these boys. NO conclusive physical evidence has been obtained. We are all sick of hearing about it here. [sm=banghead.gif]

One (of many) things that bothered me was the apparent rush to judgement of not only the DA, but many on campus... the "Take back the night" banners were out, and the threats were flying. [>:]

Yes the Lacrosse team had a history of partying alot. Yes they are rich boys. The DA only sees past history in this. The vicitm cant make up her mind what she wants the story to be. If she was raped then yes they deserve to be punished. If not , she ruined these young mens lives. One had a job on wallstreet. The Durham police and DA have a long history of picking on Dukies. But yet he was relected. Im glad I live an hour away.

I get so tired of these "cry rape" cases. It just makes someone that it really happens to, not want to come forward. It's the main reason I didn't when I was raped, I knew it would be so hard to prove it, the way it happened, and didn't want to be put through the trauma of that part on top of the rape. If they didn't do it, I hope that someone gets in a shit load of trouble for accusing them in the first place. The people that stood up for them, ought to rake them over the coals for putting them through it all, and for making it harder for someone it really happens to.. to get any justice. Akasha

I saw it too. That D.A. is a P.O.S. who should be fired for deriliction of duty then sued. Then have the living SHIT kicked out of him! So many outright lies and incompetance by the D.A.'s office and the police.

I sent her a letter about 10 years ago, asking her why she did this...she didn't remember the incident. Niiiice. That stayed on my record for 11 years (sorry, legal minds..."rape", stays on your record a tad longer than smoking a joint). She never paid the price. ANY price. I still think about it. Fucking cunt.

It's really unfortunate because false cases hurt genuine ones. I sat on a jury for a rape case and both parties knew each other. The he said/she said and lack of concrete evidence forced us to acquit the guy, but in jury deliberations, we all admitted that none of us really knew. I lost a lot of sleep over that. Those who make false rape accusations should be tried right with the rapists.

I think it is ridicolous someone with so little credibility can get away with so much "bullcaca" as the OP worded it....I mean these days anyone can make up any accusations and ruin someone's credibility for payback....its ridicolous, only in America. I think those immature girls who pull that bullcaca would think twice about it if their name was released as well as their past history, and if they had to pay damages if found that these acussations were false, along with a public apology....

I have a friend's little boy, he's about 13 that was accused. She was mad because he wouldn't be her "boyfriend". It was male vs. female so it didn't look good for him. When things started really getting out of hand he had to confess that he couldn't because he was gay. He had to out him and his little friend....it ruined his life and his friend's. He changed schools, for a while then had to drop out altogether. Of course nothing happened to the girl. I saw part of 60 minutes tonight....I never believed from the first news report that those guys did it....It's an election year and they need a big case and what better than little rich kids against poor people? I think the girl, and the DA should do time.

Unfortunatly I was with one crazy bitch that threatend to cry rape if I broke up with her. I'm glad she was bluffing. I called it and haven't had any problems for 8 years now.
