A question for subs and slaves primarily, but responses from everyone would be appreciated.  In general, how many of you have wavered in the belief that you are truly a sub or slave?

I've been having a difficult time lately, wondering if I am truly ment for submission.  I know I have the desire to submit, but then I read posts that describe what others feel and do, and I freeze up. I know everyone has a different definition of submission, but can I be one when most things that Master's want, I simply do not want to do?  I do wish to submit, but not 24/7. I was reading forum posts earlier, and someone described having to ask permission for things like getting a glass of water, or going to the restroom. I simply can not imagine  myself doing that.

Any words of wisdom?

Dreamscape, Question yourself and then question yourself again, it's only through your answers you will you find your submission.  When I read your posts, I identified with it. I remember reading posts  that scared the crap out of me. Certain things I just knew I could never do. I questioned my submission(still do), began to think I should just look for a kinky vanilla relationship instead. I started dating vanilla again, after a month or so, and 3 vanilla guys later, I realized, that finding someone you click with, such as, I am a vegetarian, one guy wanted me to go hunting with him,   I like rock concerts, gave one guy a headache, was the same as in D/s. In this vast world we live in, there are so many different personalities, different points of view and various kinks. Vanilla or D/s  neither are going to be easy finding that "One". When I first discovered my submission, I had on rose colored glasses, I just figured, now that I have announced my submission, a Dom Prince on a white horse will ride up and take me to his Kink Palace. Well a few frogs later, I know that isn't going to happen right away. I learned to enjoy the journey. I have meet and spoken to a variety of people and I have learned from each one. These postings are a great learning tool, many wise people here will answer questions, concerns and even rants at times. Take a deep breathe and read, it will all fall into place.
